Happy Saturday folks! No sure if posted before however I stumbled across content of Josh Rosen along with Sam Darnold taking part in Trent Dilfer's Elite 11 tournament back in the summer of 2014 prior to both entering their freshmen year of college.
Why I thought it was useful? I saw a video online of Dilfer on the Rich Eisen Show. Dilfer's comments on Darnold during their experience in his Elite 11 peaked my interest.
It gave me a better understanding of how Josh performs under pressure situations. I came away getting a better idea as to how his mind works. I know he's not the same person he was 4 years ago. He's more mature (we hope) but you also get a chance to understand just how intelligent and meticulous he is. Even as a high school senior, some of his coaches, including Trent, conceded to Josh in terms of brain power.
I think the kid means well, it just comes across as arrogant or defiant at times. There were times during the documentary that you end up saying "wow" this kid has something special.
Is he intelligent, yes. Does he "need" football, probably not. Is he incredibly competitive, is he a leader and can he be a great teammate, I believe so. But thats just my opinion. I'm not a talent evaluator, head coach or GM by any stretch of the imagination.

If you want to skip to the parts where they are focusing strictly on Rosen, I recommend you fast forward to 4:58, 19:19, 28:22, 33:50, 45:23, 46:34, 51:28, 1:02:13, 1:06:46
***The reason I don't have times posted on Darnold from the Elite 11 documentary is because he was barely mentioned.
