Mike Felger of WBZ in Boston reported that Brady received four stitches after hitting a teammate’s helmet during Wednesday’s practice and that the injury should not have a great impact on his ability to play. Brady refused to say if he threw passes during Friday’s practice, but wide receiver Danny Amendola intimated that he did and that he was throwing well during his own press conference later in the day. |

the amount of whip a professional thrower makes has to stress the area that is healing - and stitches kind of draw the skin together tighter

*knuckle*
We'll see how it affects him when 6'8" 300lb Calais repeatedly swats it. Toss in Fowler and Yannick coming from the edges swinging, Tom might be in for a long day.

and he threw the ball well today (not viewed by the media from what I read, but apparently leaked).

with or without 4 stitches in his knuckle that was possible, but Ben threw for 5 TD's and almost 500 yards against them last week. I wouldn't be so confident in the Jaguars defense. Pats OL vs Jags DL probably determines the game.

I watched the game and the stats don't necessarily tell the complete story. Jax was having their way with Pitt. Take away the 4th down hail mary plays and Ben's stat line looks pedestrian. I know - if my aunt had balls... But for example the 4th and 11 from the wrong side of their 50 is absolutely the wrong call. There were no other reads, Ben was slinging the long ball. Peel off 60 yards and a TD there if the ball isn't completed. Not to mention the dynamic of the game giving the ball to Jax on short field with them up by 3 scores already. If Jax goes ahead with a score there, the game is over.
Brady's Boo Boo - ( New Window )
Those kids were convinced they were going to beat the Pats and now with everyone wondering about Brady they are really prone to a nasty wake up call.
This is what BB does, he even finds a way to exploit a minor injury. The NFL is playing checkers and he's playing chess.
I expect no difference out of the Pats but now wouldn't be surprised for the jags to fall flat on their faces
Regarding the Jags - They are playing with house money. No one expected the level of success that they have achieved. Most fans around the league would have expected a .500 season from the Jags, instead they are playing in the AFC Championship. They are playing with zero expectations. A young, brash, and talented team will be playing fast and loose. All the expectations are on the Patriots. If they win, it was because it was expected. If they lose, it was due to an epic letdown. If the Jags win, they will still not get credit.
