I didn't see this posted and I'm not sure why. Interesting article, especially the part about how much they ran the ball and who has influenced his offense (hint: not Kelly). I like that he ran a lot of PA pass with the Vikings, too.
I know, they didn't look too good against the iggles. But let's give the guy a chance. He is far more experienced and accomplished than McAdoo was.

I didn't know he was the Giants' best receiving back.
He is going to have to be in Shurmur's offense.

Vikings ran Outside Zone 22.5% of the time in 2017 (2nd-most used concept)
Avg. 4.3 yards/attempt on those runs
Giants ran Outside Zone just 10.1% in 2017 - would expect that to increase

Last 4 years Pat Shurmur has been an OC:
His QBs have ranked in the top 10 of adjusted completion % 3 times:
Foles 2013

That's interesting. According to Zimmer, that wide receiver versatility makes it a lot harder for the opposing defense to know what routes the receivers will be running.

The guys they put on the field couldn't even handle the basics consistently. I imagine doing things like that would be like giving a first-time driver a manual-transmission car.
Fix the O-Line. Run the ball. Play action pass.
Sounds good to me!
Don't forget Ellis. I think he will be perfect in this O. He can be the TE on the line of scrimmage (traditional), move TE, fullback, etc. I think EE and Ellis compliment each other well. There is no reason why the Giants shouldn't play a lot two TE sets. They could run bunch, ace, I, ... you name it.
Eli needs a good QB coach because he gets lazy with his faking and his mechanics he seemed to pay more attention to those little things when Sullivan was his QB coach.

Any WR spot. TE...or set back.
Don't forget Ellis.
