With the guys who wrote GOT, particularly in view that it's a brand new story and not some regurgitation of the same tired SW cliches that JJ Abrahms and gang have given us over the last few years.
they adapted already written stories with heavy amounts of input from the story’s creator. And on top of that the series went to shit, primarily due to poor writing, once the source material was gone.
Riaan Johnson will make a much better Star Wars trilogy, no doubt in my mind.

It didn't go to shit. It feels rushed the last couple of seasons, certainly. You don't like it. Thats clear. You don't let a day go by without letting us know it.
Kind of bizarre this continued railing against GOT in consideration of some of the films you seem to love.
What films do I love so much since you know me so well? Â
I like tons of movies for many different reasons. Some for top notch acting, some for seeing something blow up for 90 minutes.
GoT is a brutally written show now. It makes watching it funny when it shouldn’t be. I still enjoy it because it’s a beautifully shot show, but the writing is dreadful now.
And back to your post, Weiss and Benioff didn’t really write the show. Them being in control of their own Star Wars project doesn’t give me hope because they are dropping the ball right now with GoT now that their cliff notes are gone.

Man, I just don't get you. You take so much time to shit all over GoT but think The Last Jedi is actually a watchable movie when the writing on that was some of the most preposterous and awful writing I've seen. Prequel level poor. It just makes no damn sense to me.
30 seconds of my day, really. The Last Jedi has some flaws, but I went because watching Star Wars for a couple hours with a bunch of my friends is a cool experience. Just because I like Daniel Day Lewis doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy watching Jason Statham fuck people up for 90 minutes.

If Michael Bay shat on your comforter, you'd spend 18 paragraphs lecturing us on why it isn't such a bad thing. And at the same time, poo poo what's really the best adaptation of a fantasy series to date and mkost watched series on HBO ever.
I don't think i've taken to great of a stance on any movie as of late. Even "Get Out" which was a hot topic over here when the nominations came out I said was a great achievement for the Horror genre but understood why people may not like it. I thought/think its a very unique movie and a great debut movie for Peele.
You are also forgetting how much of a massive fan of GoT I used to be. It used to be my favorite show on TV through the first 3 or 4 seasons. Are you suggesting I just woke up and started hating it? Or is it because it isn't very good anymore compared to the way it was?
This isn't something I made up out of thin air. There are a bunch of posters on BBI who share my view on GoT, and the number of people in my office and my group of friends who still like the show are dwindling.
So when I hear that the show's creators are somehow going to be the saviors of Star Wars, writing an excellent story when they can't even do that with GoT, I'm going to call it out. Sorry if that bothers you.
I don't think anyone would argue that the last two seasons have lived up to the billing. We know the reasons for those. Same reason why Deadwood was ended and Rome was cut short.
But on the whole, they've done a phenomenal job adapting what many thought unfeasible on the small screen. It is what it is.
I also don't think anyone's calling them saviors. It's exciting to see where they go with the Universe without relying on the crutches that Abrahms did. That Star Wars is dead. Move the fuck on already.
particularly on Star Wars. But that's what Disney wanted and Abrams wasn't given a clean slate to work with. His job was to un-fuck the prequels, get back the hardcore fans and bring in new fans. That's a recipe for pissing off a lot of fans. Its also a fanbase that's so massive that many will be disappointed.
For me. the 2 so far have been fun, have had some good acting and excellent visuals. The stories were/are very meh, going through the motions until 9 finishes the series.
I am ready for new ideas too, its something I wish Abrams got the chance to do because I really liked his Star Trek. And I'm skeptical (although I will still watch it) of Weiss and Benioff as the only piece of original work between the two that I liked was 25th Hour.

There have been three SW movies from Disney so for. You're forgetting the clear best of the three, Rogue One.
Bob Iger confirmed that Disney will be producing multiple live-action Star Wars TV series for its coming streaming service. Previously, the expectation was just one Star Wars TV series.
Man, this is going to be A LOT of Star Wars coming at us in a few years. It's hard for me to imagine that it will all be good. They better put storytelling at a premium for these projects.
In other words, will they get a 'series' of standalones over the course of a few years? Or will it be one long story told over three films?
Counter-counter point:
Star Wars with cocks.
And alien parts.
... let's hope they keep it PG/13.
From the Solo movie

Does she have one breast or two? Her face is hot, but what an odd photo - or heavily photo shopped or something.

maybe 3. It is STAR WARS after all.

Well, StarWars.com is saying "a new series of Star Wars films."

They should get that guy to do some movies.
