A masterful plan...wait till all the top choices are gon..then get our choice of the leftovers!! That’s....uhhhhhh....stupid
They're trying to hire an offensive coordinator who won't have playcalling responsibilities. The biggest names aren't coming here for that. They must be looking for someone specific.
It’s kind of humiliating to be everyone’s fall-back Â
The only facts I can find is that Stefanski was signed through the 2016 season. This next part is assumption: positional coaches usually sign 2 year deals. So, based on that assumption and the fact, it seems that Stefanski is or at least should be under contract still.
At first I was annoyed because it seems like we were Stefanski's second choice and he was waiting on Minnesota to decide if he would be their OC. But it now seems that Minnesota is hedging their bet by holding onto Stefanski until they see how DeFilippo does in his interview.
Let me pose this question; What if DeFilippo gets the OC job and Zimmer keeps Stefanski as his QB coach? It is pissible, right? I wonder what the understanding is with Stefanski, Shurmur, and Zimmer?

It's obviously not the Giants' preferred plan, but given the circumstances, they don't have any choice for at least a week.
DeFillipo's contract doesn't expire for another week and it's possible that the Vikings aren't granting permission for the Giants to bring Stefanski in until they settle their own OC situation.
One can dream...

Another think noone seems to be talking about is who the Patriots plan to hire as their OC.
Fuck off.
Again, if Stefanski is under contract and he is our first choice all we can do is be patient. How does waiting show we aren't a desired destination?

Are we waiting on a hunch?
K.
I think Perkins was #3 and handled it beautifully at his press conference
If he was the man for Minny he'd have been offered by now. So it looks like it's DeFillipos to lose.

They may have, but who knows if the decision to accept right now is his or the Vikings.

You've told us a lot and it's always wrong. As this will invariably be.
