NFT: Lebron curses out Cavs execs

ajr2456 : 2/6/2018 5:07 pm
Team no longer discussing front office moves with him. It all seems to be coming apart in Cleveland.
Lebron - ( New Window )
Looks like hitdog's buddy

is getting caught in the James/Gilbert crossfire.

66 million on Tristan and JR's contracts?
I know Bball is a star driven league
LG in NYC : 2/6/2018 5:11 pm : link
but I find it distasteful that a single player has (or thinks he has) so much influence over a team.

The thing is they can get a quality player moving the Brooklyn pick, but they aren't going to do that without without a commitment that he's staying.

If you're going to commit to staying, its your own fault and enough with the tantrums. A lot of their current issues are because him, like the Thompson and Smith contracts.

Pretty painful to read the crap- have chatted to him a lot of late but more on personal than work stuff.

The price for bigs is too high-
And the effort level of the team is terrible
Sorry to hear that.

Doesn't sound like anyone's having too much fun out there.

Take a look at their W-L record and attendance over the last 20 years when he's there vs. when he's not there. That buys a lot of influence.

Lebron is the best GM
Metnut : 2/6/2018 6:11 pm : link
in the league since he has a 100% success rate in recruiting Lebron the player.

Let's face it, LeBron stinks at being GM
ThreePoints : 2/6/2018 6:14 pm : link
I feel like all recent LeBron teams all have the same problem: It's him, another star or two, and then a bunch of below average role players/old retreads/nobodies. He advocates for these guys, and then they disappear for large stretches of a game or even season.
LeGM sucks
Ten Ton Hammer : 2/6/2018 6:21 pm : link
After he left them in ruins last time they'd be fools to bend the knee and do whatever he wants today. He's got 1 1/2 feet out the door already. It's obvious.

one of if not the most insufferable sports superstar of my lifetime.
Things get tough
Keith : 2/6/2018 6:29 pm : link
and Lebitch runs away to a better situation. Unbelievable. The cavs learned their lesson, they aren’t destroying their future to appease Lebitch while he’s got a foot out the door. Good for them.

to be expected. Everyone has been lining up to kiss his ass since he was 12 years old.
Ehh
UConn4523 : 2/6/2018 7:49 pm : link
I used to be a massive fan of his. But how he’s handled things, especially GMing has been brutal. From bad signings to coach firings he’s been an absolute tool.

As misguided as some
santacruzom : 2/6/2018 10:02 pm : link
Of LeBron's influence and requests may have been, I have every confidence that without him, the Cavs front office would make equally bad decisions, and likely much worse ones.
They could do a lot of damage if they tried to make a win now move
Ten Ton Hammer : 2/6/2018 10:33 pm : link
Just to keep lebron happy. Don’t they have the nets draft pick?

It's easy to tell who follows the Cavs closely and who doesn't
NyquistX3 : 2/6/2018 11:18 pm : link
when people say things like "LeBron is the real GM!!!" That just is not true. At all.

Those two players were starters and important role players on a team that won a championship and the Cavs couldn't have replaced either of them due to the salary cap had they decided to let them walk.
Team collapsed last nigh in the second half

vs. Orlando. Things don't look good right now in Cleveland.

Cavs have the best scouts in the biz!

- Anthony Bennett
He is certainly a drama queen and a terrible GM
MetsAreBack : 2/7/2018 9:58 am : link
but the Cavs sucked for 20 years without him... sucked for the years he was in Miami... and have been to the Final 4x including the last 3 with him in town. and he brought them their first title in 50 years.

So... deal with, things could be worse.

has every right to be pissed. The Irving trade was borderline malpractice.
Cavs are on tonight @ 8...

Hosting Wolves.

I might go out & get a nice 6 pack & watch that one @ home. I really like this Wolves team. I hope they stick it to Cleveland.
FYI-
