question is, can we replace his level of production for $6.5m or less? As an All-Pro in 2016, and well-liked in the locker room, plus the uncertainty around Eli Apple, I like him as an insurance policy at that number. He's under contract, might as well.
The draft in rounds 2 and higher is awfully optimistic!

I'd keep DRC as well, reasonable contract for a good player. I wouldn't give Pugh that deal.
I just don't think they should spend that money on Pugh. I think they need to save money to extend either Beckham or Collins and then sign the other next off-season when Eli's cap savings will be beneficial to cutting him. While I prefer Darnold to Rosen that is solely because of health concerns. If Rosen was as healthy as Darnold he would be my top choice for the #2 pick. I love Isaiah Wynn in round 2 but I can fully get behind a LT like Okorafor especially if they get Wyatt Heller later. A potential line of
LT Okorafor/Wheeler
LG Filo/Heller
C Jones/Halapio
RG Fluker/Dunker
RT Flowers
I only read up to the point of Eli's cap numbers. Can't be bothered to parse the information if the author can't be bothered to code a table with HTML. For the record, I know all of Eli's numbers as I've been trumpeting them for some time. I just think the author is lazy for not making the effort so I decided not to make the effort to read that shit.

Bradham is a guy I really want in FA.
I agree.
DRC is a solid contributor. There's a place for him here.
Just to add, judging Pugh off his comments I don't think he wants to be here anyway.

That's a terrible Oline, sorry. Neither a rookie or Wheeler is better than Flowers. Plus I watched tape of Okorafor and he's Flowers negative 2.0, same issues but worse. I haven't seen Haalapio play center and Jones is always injured. Dunker is already 25 and peaked out, he didn't make it and isn't getting much better.

Flowers is awful... Seriously awful.. Not sure what it takes for some people to see just how friggin bad he is...
I don't think so much of Goodson and Adams to label them "core." I wouldn't draft Rosen and, I know it's difficult but I don't think Invictus does enough for our offensive line.

Jones is not always injured I'm not sure where that came from
Not big on paying Gaines to a deal like that. Nor paying Pugh. I don't think his OL plan is a fix or makes the offense much better. Huge question marks at tackle spots.
He also has Okafor and Kennard getting paid but all while having Vernon and JPP.
You laid out some good principles without nodding much to reality as far as an actual team on game day.
Then..Avery Moss is core? Wuchu smoking. Maybe. But not seen that yet. For example.
Jones missed his entire first season on IR. He was injured last year during his first start and missed several games IIRC. He was also injured once this season.
From what I've read, he is not a tough, mean SOB of an OT. DG wants tough, mean, nasty OL. I don't see him picking this kid. Some scouts have described him as soft.

You don't pay $6.5 Million for a part time player.

It's a nicely presented plan. But you know what they say about plans.
I really like the selections of Rosen and Chubb.
with their FA signings.....if it's possible.

You can play him at FS, CB, Nickel. With the uncertainty surrounding Apple, and with Thompson still a question mark I would let him play out his deal.
