Denver, New York and Dallas agreed on a three-way deal, league sources tell ESPN. Mudiay to Knicks; Devin Harris to Denver and Doug McDermott to Dallas.
I know he's young and was a top 10 or so pick but isn't he a scrub?
Is this because of full on tank mode?
He's been awful (biggest red flag is very poor defense despite being a plus plus athlete). Plus side is 37% from 3 (I was shocked) and an improved 12.5 PER.. still .31 WS/48... yuck
as a bit of an unknown and he's been a big disappointment in the NBA. He hasn't developed at all. His minutes were cut big time coming into this season. He's still young and on a rookie contract so it's worth the risk to bring him in and see if you could develop him. He has good physical attributes.

Its a good buy low player but hes been very bad. He doesnt really do anything well. Hopefully a change of scenery helps. Maybe Hornacek can help develop him...hahah.
Sources: Dallas is also acquiring second-round pick from Denver in trade sending Emmanuel Mudiay to New York, Devin Harris to Denver, Doug McDermott to Mavs.

I'm incorrect for stating something the original source had wrong? lol
This is a good trade, goes along with the Knicks becoming more athletic. Mudiay was a very good prospect and still is young enough to improve with proper coaching.
Thankfully, we did not give up a first rounder.
I recall a lot of BBIers water Mudiay over Pozingis
He may be a late bloomer. He's shown some improvement from his first year to his third.
Shooting 80% from FT, so it's not like he's a bad shooter in general. Could be shot selection and some mechanical stuff that is something that can improve.
line is next years team won't have high hopes with KP?? So paying Dougie didn't make a ton of sense. Mudiay isn't restricted until after NEXT season so worthy gamble.
RE: I recall a lot of BBIers water Mudiay over Pozingis
The Knicks could have acquired Elfrid Payton, a Scott Perry favorite, but they would not include Frank Ntilikina in the deal with Orlando. Instead, they went after Mudiay.

That's borderline bannable. Made me do my Fred Sanford impression. :)

And a sweetner of a 2nd rounder which was so valuable yesterday in the Hernangomez trade.
Meh, this reeks of just garbage. Not a fan of the trade.
I am curious to see what other action the Knicks get in today.
At this point, although I enjoy watching them, I'd like to see some returns for Lee and KOQ.
Leave Kanter here, I think he can be part of the future.
So the Knicks currently pick 38th and 49th in the 2nd round
37% year 2
40% year 3
32% 3pt
31% 3pt
37% 3pt

Though with Trey Burke and Frank not sure where Mudiay gets minutes. Definitely has more upside than McDermott

I was one of them . KAT, Mudiay, KP was my top 3
