How do Eagles replace DeFilippo? Wouldn't be surprised if they consider moving Mike Groh to QB coach and promoting Press Taylor to WR coach. ...Groh, a former college QB, was once a college QB coach and off. coordinator. Press Taylor has worked with the WRs this season.

That Dice Staley article
BestFeature : 2/9/2018 12:39 pm : link
Dude may be the best offensive coordinator of all time if gets the chance. But Shwartz trying hard to make his story more interesting by saying how important it is that he's black is really offputting.
Street cred?
Joey in VA : 2/9/2018 1:33 pm : link
Way to be out of touch Schwartzy. Should that be on his resume? Idiot.
I liked Staley as lot as a player (other than being on the Eagles)...
Milton : 2/9/2018 3:14 pm : link
In fact, most of my mock drafts in 1997 included either him or Tiki, but usually in the 3rd round. And while Schwartz may have overstated it (regarding "street cred"), there is certainly value in having diversity among the coaching staff. And I think it helps that he was a former player who succeeded at the NFL level.

That being said, my spider sense tells me Stefansky is the better choice for the job (and not just because he went to my alma mater, but mostly because of that...and the fact that I think experience as a QB coach translates better to OC than RB coach experience).

It would be great if the Giants could somehow hire both Stefansky and Staley, giving one the OC title and the other Assistant Head Coach title (i.e., make Staley OC and give Stefansky the dual titles of QB coach and Asst. HC); but Minnesota and/or Philly may not be as amenable to letting a good coach go to a rival if they felt it was a sham promotion in title only.
