This can only mean that Perry hasnt instructed Hornacek to play the kids yet...which is equally concerning. Unless Perry believes that playing the kids more will give them a better chance to win (and be bad for the tank) which is also possible.
Very difficult for knicks to become a bottom 5 team. There are so many really bad teams below them that they are 5 games ahead of in the loss column. Now an 8 game losing streak here, which seems likely could make it interesting
to jump spots in the lottery. The teams ahead of us are all around 18 games under .500 and mostly fading. Nets have lost 9 of 10 or something. Keep the Ls coming, boys.
Today Mudiay looked good. Last game Kornet looked good. Burke looked good his first game. Kanter and McDermott both started the season really well. So far nobody has been able to be consistent after the quick starts. I wonder if Mudiay can play anything like today's game going foward.
I liked the Mudiay / Frank back court. Mudiay cut just as well as McDermott had been, so it looks like there isn't any drop off there.
THjr's contract is looking bad again. At least he made some shots today. I still struggle to see the Knicks ever becoming contenders if they continue to pay players like THjr and Kanter as much money as they currently are.

Kanter has not been consistent? He is averaging a double double...
Hardaway looked very good then got hurt, his contract won't prohibit them from doing anything, it is noah contract that is going to kill them

I was hopeful for THjr there for a moment, but as of right now he just seems to be very streaky. His first 3 games were awful, he got hot, he got hurt, he came back strong and then went back to awful again. It fits with his M.O. I hope I'm wrong but he hasn't proven it to me yet.
It seems like we've beat the Kanter thing to death. He's a good scorer and great rebounder but there is more to the game than that. It's the rest of his play that is inconsistent. He's always been taken off the court at the end of games everywhere that he's been because his D and his passing just aren't good enough when the chips are down.
I'm not saying that either player is awful. I'm just saying that they aren't great either. To me they are both decent players that are getting paid more than they are worth and it's one of the many issues currently holding the Knicks down. Just my opinion. I only mentioned it because I hope that the Frank / Mudiay back court works out in the next year or two and forces THjr to the bench.
without Porzingis. They will get into the lottery conversation (and I want Trae Young over everyone else available, we desperately need a PG and he's scarily like Steph Curry)

My guy is miles bridges...
He is a great fit next to kp and is very versatile,, can play the 4 or 3,
The remaining season. Both these guys should see 30 plus minutes
With Trey Burke as the rotational piece. Jack should get no minutes
I can see Frank building up towards the end of the year averaging 15 points 5-8 assists and 3-5 rebounds
I can see Mudiay 15-20 points with the same assist and rebounds
Im hoping Lee gets less and less playing time and THJr shoots his way out of this slump
Starters
Enes
Beasley
THJr
Frank
Mudiay
Bench
Oquinn. Kornet Burke. Dotson
Jack and Thomas zero minutes. Lee subbing in for THJr
to go at roughly 7-11 in the draft: Kevin Knox, Mikhail Bridges, Miles Bridges. A big, fast athletic sf would improve this team significantly when JP gets back.
Knox is not yet 19.
Quote:
68.75 skilled and versatile forward Good size and length for a wing with a 70 wingspan and 811 standing reach Smooth shooting mechanics with good arc ... Can shoot from midrange and three ... Can shoot off the catch and dribble ... Can score from anywhere on the floor/
SI also has him as 10th, but has Bridges at 8th. The Knicks seem lucky that there is good depth at this position.

No official word on if he is startijg, these are usually based on last game
Well, there you have it.
However, hes said stuff before and not followed through on it.
Don't forget Lance Thomas as well. Exciting time to be a Knick fan....
Jack shouldn't be starting. Period. Burke should be.

I was having trouble but I thought it may be that I was blacked out. I was able to switch to Pacers broadcast which is coming in OK (Direct TV)

Frank needs to shoot a million jumpers this summer. If he hits two threes, two teardrops and two free throws per game, he'll be just fine.

Liked what I saw from mudiay, I would have liked to seehim attack more but he played well for his first game, any doubt he should start tomorrow?
Lance Thomas needs to go away, mudiay would of had 14 assists if Thomas knocked down wide open shots

Yeah, I was hoping the Knicks can find a two way player at the three. It's tough to watch Lee and THjr get abused by players like Bojan Bogdanović.

Doesn't mean he's going to get big minutes. Plus, they might want to bring frank off the bench and not overwhelm anymore than he already is.

Jack logged a whopping 8 minutes last night. Like I said....
