What about Tony Sparano?

I'm not forgetting that Shurmur mentioned someone with experience teaching QB's but sometimes you have to be flexible. There is an OC and QB coach postion available - maybe. Shurmur might have thought it was the same guy but maybe you bring on Sparano more of a younger guy to coach QB's. I'd love to have another guy with offensive line background and a physical football mentality.

Bill Parcells pick as HC for the dolphins during his stint as GM or whatever his role was with the Dolphins. He put Sporano in place. I believe that was the early 2000s. And if memory serves, Sporano was the first to install the wild cat in the modern game.

Just watched a documentary about his death ...
