Boston media vs NY media

exiled : 2/12/2018 11:19 am
This article from NY Post (the Post, I know, but still). None of this information is (or ever has been) contextual, and as usual, the column promotes Inselberg's side.

During deflate-gate, it was the opposite up here in Boston, they contorted themselves defending him (and continue to).

They love their sports heroes in Boston. NY, not so much.

Just an observation.

OMG, you should read a little bit more of the Boston press

They're total dicks to their teams and athletes. This is particularly true about their baseball a-holes.
I hate to paint with a broad brush

since there are always exceptions, but Boston media has been notoriously brutal to its own stars, all the way from Ted Williams to Tom Brady (read Dan Shaughnessy some time - he makes a career out of challenging boston players and teams).
Yeah, calling the daughter of your GOAT QB

a pissant, mocking his agent's Asian heritage, sure, Boston sports media is the best!
LOL @ Boston media being 'kind' to their stars.

You should see how The Globe runs hit pieces on Sox players/managers on their way outta town.

This....and wait until BB loses Brady and starts losing. Boston press will slaughter him and his press conference attitude.
Could not agree more.

As a born and bred New Englander that old phrase that "it's a religiion" is painfully true. In 2004, when the Sox won the series, the morning after, the cemeteries were filled with people planting anything RedSox related next to their beloved relatives gravesights. Never saw anything like that. You literally can close your eyes and walk Boylston St. after each game and can sense the outcome just by the pulse of the city. As for the media, NY has it easy. The Boston media is much tougher on it's own players. As a player, it cannot be easy playing there which may be why some do not live up to expectations due to the pressure. The same holds true for the media with the Pats, Celtics and Bruins.
