"I don't like (general manager Brian) Cashman," Gossage said in a phone interview with NJ Advance Media from his Colorado home. "That's all. It's not a secret."

Cashman declined to invite Goose to spring training this year as a guest instructor, because all he ever does is piss and moan about relievers, bat flips, analytics and kids who need to get off his lawn. He's become insufferable.
I guess Goose is pissed about Clint Frazier's hair, too.
Everybody, the way they boo fucking Griffey and everybody else. And you motherfuckers, all you cocksuckers with a fucking pen , and a fucking tape recorder, you can turn it on and take it upstairs to the fat man! Ok? Cause I'm fucking sick of this fucking shit! The negative fucking bullshit, you got it? Everything that you guys read, write, these motherfuckers read, these dumb motherfuckers in the seats! Yeah, you turn it on. Turn it on you greasy cocksucker. Yeah, they read everything that you fucking write. And we hear the same fucking lines, you know what I mean? Fucking negative motherfuckers. No wonder you're fucking carrying a pad and a fucking paper around. You ain't worth the fucking shit to do anything else. You motherfuckers!
I can understand his frustration at not being invited. But I can also understand the yankees getting tired of him constantly shooing everybody off his lawn.
If you were lucky enough to see Goose pitch for the Yankees
and lucky enough to enjoy 1978 you wouldn't care about what he says.
The Yankees for the most part Jim Bouton excluded do a great job taking care of their alumni. Gossage just can't seem to help himself.
Goose was always a hot head. Always ran off at the mouth. But he and Sparky did pitch 3 innings. Sparky sometimes 4 or 5 innings. It was a different game.
The late 70's Yankees were filled with some lousy humans beings but what a great team they were.
If he's gonna imply managers like Aaron Boone aren't "baseball men" and are instead just trying to be players' friends, then I have no problem with Cashman and Boone telling him to go fuck himself.
The Goose was one of my favorites when I was a little kid, but his yearly bitch sessions are pretty sad. You're not going to score ant points with Yankee fans by belittling Mariano Rivera.

That's where he really loses me every year. Yes, the closer position has changed drastically from when he was in his prime. But, Rivera is hardly one of those guys who benefited from trotting out to pitch only clean 9th inning situations. He threw plenty of outings over 3 outs and he was also completely dominant for virtually his entire career. What he did was phenominal for any era.

So much for old timers day for that a-hole.
Guy pitched 22 years in the Bigs, 9 time AS, 5 times in the top 5 Cy Young voting as a reliever and is in the HOF. He can say what he wants.
2. He's now a grumpy old man with a big mouth.
3. He is not going to get an invitation to Spring Training by ripping Cash.

True. And he can say it from his front lawn. The Yanks don't have to give him a platform in Spring Training. He can buy a fucking ticket.
