According to the post hornacek is contemplating going back to jack with burke and mudiay struggling the past couple of games...
So hornacek will give vets the benefit of the doubt over and over again after bad games, but burke and mudiay have a couple and it is off to the bench?
I get it the young guys have struggled the past few games but you can't just bench them when there is nothing to play for...
He does this and Perry should fire him immediately..
What is the point of playing Jack? Dotson, Frank, Burke, Mudiay, Williams should all be playing big minutes to close out the year. Only the Knicks...
Doubtful, Knicks are still playing kanter, Beasley, lance, oquinn, lee...
Knicks only benched one healthy player, very doubtful he said anything..
More likely is hornacek is a moron

I don't think it is the knicks, I think it is hornacek, doubtful Perry told hornacek to put 2 guys he brought in on the bench for a old vet that won't be here next year
The Sixers tanked for about 5 straight seasons. You’re telling me the Knocks decide to play some young guys and Silver steps in and insists that they play 50 year old Jarrett Jack? I find that ridiculous
Nets hornets tonight
Bulls pistons tomorrow
Orlando-SAC tomorrow as well
Knicks play the bucks tomorrow too.
It’ll be a good week...and then next week we’ll be back to shitting on the Knicks for not tanking properly.
After losing 13 of 14, NYK’s in 9th place in the "Lottery Standings." (They had the 12th-worst record before this losing skid). They’re 1.5 games behind CHI in race for NBA’s 8th-worst record. If Knicks surpass Bulls, their odds to land a top-5 pick increase from 11.5% to 32.1%.
come on Bulls! Still can't believe the Nets, who are trying, are still stuck on 20 wins.

Perhaps, Silver spoke to the Knicks as this tanking season has become a joke as the bottom teams are like 6-40 in the last 46 games. It has become a major issue. The bulls were scolded to play Robin Lopez and Justin Holiday.

He only suggested this because Silver recently called out the Bulls for sitting their vets.

Funny thing is first year the Sixers tanked was also the first year the Knicks missed the playoffs since Melo. And right now the two franchises are on different planets. The Kings and Magic can unintentionally lose every year and don't get any flack for it until the Sixers do it so flamboyantly (and properly) lol.
That got a laugh out of me. Come on Thibs, you know you want Joakim Noah, too.
what is a MAX per his years in the league if signed by LAL? if signed by another team?
I realize he's an RFA

Culture! Can't keep those nets down

I don't think he'll be maxed, a max for him would probably be 5 years, ~$27M a year (what wiggins got). I dont think there are enough teams with cap space to sign him to that, I think he ends up getting around $15-20M a year, but maybe LA gives him a 1 year max offer and lets him be a UFA next season.
People refer to it as "tanking," but the bottom line is, if a ball club isn't going anywhere, why the FUCK should they be urged away from starting/playing/developing their young players for the future?
So we are compelled now by the commissioner to watch Jarrett fucking Jack take minutes away from three young guards?
Unreal.
Good ole Dep! They gotta make the playoffs first, they might be in the 9th or 10th spot by sunday
Pretty much yeah. I agree Randle would be perfect with KP, but not looking like that will happen unless he signs a 1 year deal and they pursue him next year.

I know Butler is out, but if they dont make the playoffs - what does that say about Thibs? Pelicans are doing fine without Cousins. So are the Wiz without Wall.
I think the main difference between NO and MIN is Davis, not coaching though. KAT and Wiggins are useless defenders on most nights, Davis thrives with more spacing on the floor at the 5.
Butler is Minny's Davis, Towns is more like Minny's cousins if we're equivocating roles.
Whoa nellie.
Whoa nellie.
It's probably their best option for them. Get another lottery pick and trade Wiggins.
If you're not one of those teams, they only way to become one is to tank and hope to acquire enough talent to lure top free agents and become a superteam yourself. Realistically, very few teams will succeed that way. Very few draft picks become a Curry or a Durant or whoever. So you can be in the lottery year after year and never become that kind of team. The Knicks have three lottery-pick guards right now, for example, and appear far from winning.
This isn't new in the NBA. The Celtics dominated the 60s. The Lakers, Celtics and 76ers dominated for years after that. Then the Bulls. Now the Warriors. But the rest of the league seems to have formed a consensus that there's no point in being mediocre, so you might as well tank.
Now it will take a massive upset to beat the Warriors. The rockets a shot and Lebron could always do it, but it would be shocking if the Warriors lost.
