ESPN is moving on from Sean McDonough as the play-by-play guy, moving him to college games full time.

The rumor is that they are going to replace him Joe Tessitore, who calls a ton of College games for ESPN.

I think this would be a good move. MNF used to be the best when I was younger and it was on ABC with Al Michaels and John Madden. It had a magical feel that it has definitely lost.

I think Tessitore will be a good addition to the booth if this is in fact true.

Thank god.

That call he made during the TEN/KC game where he started screaming like a girl on a play that didn't even stand was fucking embarrassing.
I couldn't listen to whatshisname.

Very monotone delivery. He sounded disinterested, the same things I hated about joe buck years ago.
I've heard robots show more emotion than him

Adios.

Any word yet on Gruden's replacement?

Peyton turned it down, I think Louis Riddick is possible though as an in-house guy
He may have been the worst play-by-play guy

I've ever heard. Legitimately. He either had no emotion like an android, or suddenly started screaming on the top of his lungs like a coke head.

Used to get decent games. Now the best matchups are on Sunday night. They went by the previous year's record to schedule the games, but since the salary cap era started teams rise and fall pretty quickly from one year to another.

It doesn't matter who is announcing the games if you've got a couple of teams that aren't any good. It's even worse when you have a team that's 6-0 playing a team that's 0-6.
