Pat Leonard of the NY Dailynews just stated on ESPN Radio that he doesn’t believe Odell Beckham Jr is a member of the Giants on Week 1 of the 2018 Season.
He is the only player on the NYG with unmistakable hall of fame ability. Sounds like Gettleman rightly highly valued those types of players. I can’t see him going anywhere.
Based on something that a real tuned in NFL person just told me about Beckham my opinion has changed. All of the things he does make sense when filtered through the lens of information. Don't even ask. I'm not reporting what I was told because I have been down that road before and it doesn't play well here.
Limerick, I only have one question. What was your opinion before hand?
Also...one more thing....if you look really hard the info was actually posted on the internet somewhere today. [/quote]
There has to one more clue to narrow it down. Its like saying there was a small plane that went down in the ocean somewhere today but if you look really hard you will find it. Can you at least say which "ocean" if you are going to send us on a wild goose chase. I don't mind the search, kinda find it fun even if it turns out to be BS. I am in the midst of procrastinating so this is a perfect challenge at this momement. Twitter, Facebook, instragram, comments section of a online newspaper, website, fan forum, ect. . .

I felt that Beckham was just a self destructive idiot. While I still dont agree with his decisions I can at least see that it's not just random.

Website. Probably one of the top 3 or 4 in it's genre and number 1 in its subgenre.
And I'm not even being coy it's just not the type of info that can be shared around here. I'm sorry I can't give you any more than that.

If by play well you mean getting absolutely laughed at because you post 3rd hand gossip about people you don't know on the internet, sure.
Do you not cringe at yourself that you just said "reporting" on a fan site, like you're Greg fucking Gumbal breaking news?

RE: The Taylor vs Beckum comparison is a lazy one Â
Taylor was not a distraction his demons played out in private. Taylor never made a spectacle of himself on the field was never a look at me guy during games. It was a different time obviously with no social media. Beckum isn't anywhere close tot he player Taylor was either. I'll drive him to Cleveland for the #1 pick and their 2nd round picks.
Agreed. I realize we don't win 7 games 2 years ago without him, but I don't like the idea of OBJ being the locker room leader for years to come. He's no LT or Strahan. Draft the sky high character guys like Barkley and Nelson and build our culture around them.
The thing you seem to not understand is folks on this site appreciate learning about and talking about football. If you know something interesting and want to share it in a relevant conversation that's awesome.
Lots of posters through the years have done that and been really great contributors. It makes the site special.
But knowing something private about a player or situation, and then slapping your own back constantly that you said it, and derailing virtually every conversation on the topic isn't fun for anyone.
I'd also be very, very careful posting about players private lives. What's the value?
My company, in which I'm pretty high-ranking, works with pro athletes regularly, including a lot OBJ last year. His private choices and lifestyle are not secerets among anyone who's spent any amount of social time with him. I know lots of people who know him.
But I don't know him. The only thing I've witnessed is he's incredibly nice and really pleasant to work with.
Sharing anything else would just be weird and nasty.

OBJ is the worst type of player for your team. All world talent creating the illusion we should win with him but enough of a head-case on the field that he will be a liability in big spots. I do not give this guy a huge contract when we are rebuilding. In fact, I don't want him on my team.

You are 100% right. It's difficult to see stupidity from people who think they have any understanding of reality but in the end there are lines that should not be crossed.

I can't believe people actually think like this. OBJ is the worst type of player for your team. I guess you are entitled to your opinion, but it's based on nonsense. You don't like the guy so he's bad for the team. Nothing else supports this thought. The guy is the best WR in football, his teammates rally around him and say nothing but great things about his abilities and work ethic. He's flamboyant and attracts attention due to his lifestyle, but that doesn't effect games in the least.

Maybe TLG's source all these years is Ron Jeremy?
