OL Chris Hubbard
C John Sullivan
OL Jack Mewhort
WR Moncrief, Matthews
CB Robinson, Cockrell
LB, Kennard, Hitchens, Bradham
RB, McKinnon or Lewis
Realistic Wish list:
Norwell, Fleming, Moncrief, Cockrell, Kennard
I disagree. This is said every off-season. What do you really expect? The entire all-pro team to hit the open market all at once?
WR Moncrief, Matthews
CB Robinson, Cockrell
LB, Kennard, Hitchens, Bradham
RB, McKinnon or Lewis
Realistic Wish list:
Norwell, Fleming, Moncrief, Cockrell, Kennard
If the Giants wanted to re sign Cockrell they could have done it any time. I don’t think he is a priority.

You may be right but they could be working on a contract right now or he may be signed later in the coming weeks.

No thanks to that clown
Missed all of 2017 with torn ACL

I know people like to keep all news to one thread but it js very annoying to read through all of the comments when the majority are just people posting things other than news. Can we have a news only thread and a discussion thread? Thanks.
agreed

would be a nice under the radar signing. He always seemed to kill the Giants. We need depth, and he will be cheap because of his age. I think he could thrive in a reduced role similar to what Chris Long did down the stretch for the Eagles. He has also played both 4-3 and 3-4 and will be a good locker room presence.
His hair though, it's terrible, just terrible.
Plus he looks too much like JonC.
Not even close. You can get CB's and we do have a 1st RD pick that needs to play better. Our Online has NOTHING... NOTHING!!! The whole offense is worthless without some semblence of an OLINE. CB's can be protected some by scheme and a pass rush. The offense can't protect an oline much without sacrificing the , well, offense!

Bastid!
Doubt we spend UFA $ on another OLB.
Jerry recco apparently does not do any research, it is 12
Don't know, I think we're going to see a few new additions and personnel turnover. Flowers might be their only piece right now.
and Flowers right behind them...
If the Giants are targeting Nate Solder they will have some competition, mainly from the Texans and Solder's old squad, the Pats.
As the Kirk Cousins sweepstakes heats up, sources say at least 2 teams are prepared to offer the free agent QB a 3-year, fully guaranteed contract if that’s what it takes. At least one other team will do a similar deal nearly fully guaranteed. Would make him the highest paid QB.

The #Vikings have been considered to be in the driver’s seat for Kirk Cousins and that hasn’t changed (yet). The expectation is he takes at least 1 — maybe 2 — visits before signing. Cousins doesn’t want to be Brock Osweiler & end up in a bad fit.

You must be mistaken. Salary cap is not a constraint, the band of merry men on BBI have been adamant about this.

Kirk Cousins may be close to a deal over the next few days. But he won’t finalize anything until he meets with coaches & others. That means Wednesday or more likely Thursday for a final decision.

the SAM position is almost always a value spot, even moreso when you're snug under the cap and need to rebuild you OL, badly.

I understand their view on it, but eventually you can't rob Peter to pay Paul any longer.

How do you know this? None of us have a clue if the Giants have little to no interest in retaining them. Besides that, wasn’t there an article posted the other day that Richburg has received a ton of interest from other teams?
I’m not debating the disaster that is the OL, just saying that it’s a bit disingenuous to say that these guys are so bad that no one wants them.

Nobody is saying the salary cap is not a constraint. We are saying that it's not as big a constraint as many would like to believe.

It isn't a restraint when the topic is signing Norwell. Which has been the discussion.

spent a #1 and #2 on Pugh and Richburg and we have little to no interest in retaining their services because of the value they have shown while in a Giants uniform.

I didn't say nobody wants them Shock. Only commented we spent the draft capital, growing/non-growing pains with both, only likely to be left holding the bag on replacing them soon.
I don't know if the Giants are interested, but if they are, they better speak up...

I’m mostly being cheeky. There were a few instances when Fats and a couple of others got a little over-the-top in the assertion, in my opinion.

To be fair, after year 2 everyone thought we'd hit a home run with Richburg. Where did that guy go? And Pugh has played up to his draft position when on the field. The fact that he's injured a lot is par for the course for anyone wearing Giants blue.
