It was my observation during training camp last season that DRC beats to a different drummer. There are times he would be late onto the field, and dong a different routine in the back center of the formation than the rest of the team during warmups and exercises, which would roll over into practice, and he seemed to kind of draw Apple into his orbit.
I'm not saying that there weren't outside distractions -- I'm saying that his approach to the team may have also been enabled by teammates he hung out with and DRC in particular
...and/or Eli Apple is just immature and needs to grow up this season, which is easier said than done.
Wrong. He 100% had "On field problems", he fucking sucked ass last year, got burnt, couldn't find the ball, couldn't make a tackle, lacked effort... the off the field stuff wasn't even brought up until he started getting abused on the field weekly.. He needs to do his fucking job regardless of what's going on with mommy and step-daddy. End of the day he is not a man yet, he is still a kid but he gets paid 3+ million per year so he needs to do his job at a high level, no more excuses, I don't care what they are.. no more looking good in training camps only to be a total dud in the season. Make or break year for Apple in New York

I don't think DRC had anything to do with it.

Employee of the year over here acting like nothing that happens in real life should ever affect job performance. Let's find out how many work days you've missed.
Ogletree is equally important on and off the field for this team.

This. Apple needs to grow up and while his mother has had medical issues, she is also someone who is very interested in building her own brand and has created distractions everywhere. I think the sad reality is that by the time Apple grows up, he will be out of the league and realize he blew his opportunity.
Really didn't understand why he didn't replace Apple as an outside corner after Apple lost the Eagle game with two blatant PI calls on Eagle's TD drives.
Bingo. He's got to grow up, learn to be a professional, and win back the respect of his teammates, andd develop at a CB. He's got a long road ahead if he's to accomplish all that. I hope he can, but am pessimistic about his chances.
if he isn't hanging on of facing the ball .
Terrible pick up to this point ..
