And once they're done rebuilding they're going to put in a new offense and defense. Won't really know what they are until probably October. They could start 0-4, finish 8-8 and that would be an ok season.

agreed, especially for the higher favorites and in NFL. if you felt strongly about a specific team, you would be better off betting them to win out right each week.
futures become way more attractive for teams in the bottom half of the odds list (personally i like it the best for Hockey) sprinkle a bit around on some border line contenders, hope a couple end up in the playoffs and hedge your way through to the finals.
