NFT: Ncaa bracket question?

yankeeslover : 3/11/2018 8:40 pm
Confused on the first four. Why wouldn't a play in first four team be a 16 seed? I see Syracuse would be 11 seed. Wouldn't it make more sense if your bubble teams are 16 seeds? Why would Syracuse have a better seed then say Iona or Penn in the Midwest? And I'm a Cuse fan. Just confused how that works.
They take the four lowest automatic qualifiers,

and the four lowest at-large bids. So the former play-in to 16 seeds and the latter play-in to 11 seeds.
Penn got screwed should have been higher than a 16

That have to 'play in'

A lot of these conference champions get screwed. Texas Alabama Oklahoma and - pick another shitty - team should have to play Tuesday not teams that earned their conference bids (why all small conferences need a year end tournament no one goes to is another story - just have the top 2 teams meet on the better teams home floor for the title). The Ivy League does it right.

Penn got kinda screwed (I graduated in '98 - we had some decent teams back then) considering the success ivy teams have had in recent years - but they're not very good. Hey a 16 seed has to win at some point right? Fuck it.
