Starting wonder if he will be on the roster at least through Camp? New system. Mac's system did not help him and Coach Shurmer is known to tweak his system to fit his personnel. Wondering if NYG will give Marshall more time, especially because he seems to work well with Eli.
yeah really dj, when did that ever happen? because if it did, everybody else here but you missed it. Forget the same page, they weren't even reading the same book.
Marshall sucks. Good bye.
I'm not opposed to keeping BM for another year, though like everyone else I'd of course prefer to lower his cap figure.
Marshall has been working with Eli at all of Eli's off-season workouts.
I think that's what djstat meant.
Maybe Shurmur's system is better suited to an aging possession receiver than MacAdoo's.
I’m not a Marshall fan but even average WRs get a ton of money in FA. If the Giants don’t need his money they’re probably better off keeping him around.
When exactly did "they get going"
in camp can't separate let him go .

they just cut DRC who was miles better than Marshall but they're going to give him a chance at that price. Vet min for Marshall.

I'd keep him too at vet min. He got $5m last year for nothing. Time for him to give back or move on.
He needs to be gone.
Bye bye.
...zero.

The whole offense was rusty and finally started clicking when all the WRs got injured. Marshall was definitely the most rusty of all the WRs.
I never felt like the offense "got it going" at all.
We sucked.
DRC is only gone because he wouldn't agree to a paycut. I don't think Marshall is in the same situation. I don't think he wants to be anywhere else. I have a feeling that he will be back on a 1 year, 2M deal or something like that.

I wouldn't mind seeing Marshall back for another year if we could lower that cap # - but if DRC is gone, my guess is Marshall is a lock to be released.

I'd be on board - just seems like a guy Gettleman is going to want to get rid of.
Older player who didn't show much "want to" last year, got hurt, etc. Just seems like someone DG is going to want to leave with the old regime.
But we'll see.
I don't blame BM at all for last year. He had that one really bad drop, but it was a sh*tshow from the jump and he just didn't get any opps. I think he's got something left and can fit a role on this offense.

maybe the Giants should have played more than a quarter of football during the preseason. They came out flat as a team and by the time they got going the season was over.

when did the offense "start clicking"? Was I away that week? That offensive "scheme" was incapable of clicking.

Well Victor, Manning and Marshall were consistently preparing last offseason and have already commenced this offseason. Also reread my post, I didn't say I liked the move, I said it appears they MAY not cut him.
Well, it's great that they tried, but I saw no evidence on the field that they had even read the same playbook. And Marshall had no interest in getting hit to make plays, which kind of ruins the idea of having him as a "big, physical receiver".

Eli out there.....he looked lost....he's done....
But big question is who replaces him? King, Lewis, Powe, Rudolph? Good drief!
