(I didn't see this posted.) Unfortunately it's not the last year for Michael Kay who is close to insufferable without his lame home run call, and insufferable with it. Ken Singleton is a class act, a calm and knowledgeable voice in the booth, and he should have been given Kay's position years ago.
Love Ken Singleton and those west coast games late at night w/o Kay.
Kenny and Cone on the west coast was some great content.
Kay is a total asshole.
...a class act, one of Mt. Vernon's finest!
"Michael Kaye is insufferable."
That is putting it in very polite terms.
Kay is just a melon headed dooshbag who owes his job to being Steinbrenner's plant at the Post during the bad old days. He owes his living to being a disgraceful colon licker with George's shit on his neck.
BTW to all that hates Kay, have you listened to other play by play guys around the league?

There is not a sports broadcaster, at any level, on any sport, anywhere in the world, that is worse than John Sterling. I would rather listen to the Boom Goes the Dynamite kid every night than listen to Sterling. John Sterling makes me want to listen to the games on mute.

at least he has been a legit professional broadcaster, for the Braves and Hawks on TBS, Islanders on the radio, and has a great radio voice.

He's never been my favorite, but I don't find him to be THAT bad.
On the other hand, Suzyn Waldman..............................UGH!!!
The YES guys are only marginally better, especially with Cone and Singleton and now we're losing him. I'm going to be watching on mute from now on.
possibly best description of her nausea inducing spew yet! well done arc.
Just last week caught a few innings of a spring training game with Singleton and O’Neill doing the game, they were great - 2 all star right fielders from different eras telling stories from the old days and talking baseball.
Fun fact - he's tied with Yaz for the 2nd most walks in the decade of the 70's (way) behind Joe Morgan. And unlike Joe Morgan, he doesn't seem to have forgotten the value of walks since his playing days ended.

The tv broadcasts without the relief of a few innings of Singleton will be unlistenable between Kay's head-as-big-as-a-haystack bullshit, Cone's persistent babbling and Mr. Personality John Flaherty.
I wish a long and happy retirement to Singleton and he will certainly be missed.
Kay sucks. Cone

Sterling is a professional broadcaster. He kind of gave up when he got stuck with the human cliche machine. Who can blame him; if the team isn't going to take radio seriously, why should he.

Sterling is nothing more than a series of hackneyed HR calls and a steady stream of "you know I say it all the time, you JUST CAN'T PREDICT BASEBALL." He is the worst broadcaster in any sport. Worse than Kay (who isn't nearly as bad as some here are making him out to be); worse than Waldman (by a wide margin, too, even though her rah-rah routine is tiring); worse than Jon Gruden was, worse than Clyde Frazier is, worse than John Minko calling St. John's basketball; worse than Moose Johnston calling NFL games.
John Sterling makes my ears bleed.
Kay was walking around talking to what few fans were there, spent the time to listen to one of my sister's rambling stories that I usually can't sit through. He shook my dad's hand and asked how long he'd been coming to Yankee games (my dad is 80 now).
All the while Cone and O'Neill were huddled in the corner trying to stay in what little shade was left by the setting sun. When it was time for them to tape the segment, Cone and O'Neill walked over and hardly acknowledged the fans standing around.
