We will use this as a discussion thread to keep the SELECTIONS thread uncluttered. These threads will be used for the duration of the entire draft.
Once a team is on the clock, they will have two hours to make a selection. If a team goes on the clock after 4pm, their two hour window will roll over to the next day. For example, if you go on the clock at 4:30pm, you will have until 9:30 am to make a selection. Picks may be made between 6pm and 9am if GMs are online and following the draft thread. The time limit only applies during the 9am to 6pm timeframe. If the two hour time limit expires, I will make a pick using any list that the GM for the team has sent me in advance (send lists to the email address in my profile) or in the absence of a list, I will use the GBN Big Board with a little discretion so as not make an obvious dumb pick (i.e.: Philadelphia Eagles won’t be taking a QB in the 1st round this year). If a GM misses two consecutive picks without providing a prospect list or making some form of contact with me (email or posting on the draft thread) the spot will be reassigned to one of the BBIers who have expressed an interest to fill the vacancy.
Please utilize the
BBI Mock Draft Spreadsheet . The spreadsheet contains the draft order (RD1-6) by team and GM with a fairly comprehensive list of both available and taken prospects based on the GBN Big Board (as well as several other prospects that did not make the GBN Big Board). I will try to keep the spreadsheet and thread updated as often as possible.
Lot of need on OL in New Orleans so not sure we bypass Hearn
Apparently, the Saint's GM agrees with you. NGD autopicked the QB he was targeting for this pick here.
That may come up yet again because Tampa Bay has less than an hour to pick. Mad Plaid has to do call out threads for everyone today!
Sorry for the delay, lots of shit to deal with at work today.

No worries. I was wondering if someone was going to take a flier on Toth. It did cross my mind.

I think this draft helps the Cowboys where needed st
WR,LB,DL and safety.
I agree. Funny how the end of the 6th round looks like the Amtoft show.

I know Optimus is like 8 hours ahead of us. If the pick does not come in before he goes off the clock I have no problem giving him until 9 AM Eastern tomorrow as the final 9 picks are split between 4 teams so they likely will be fired rather quickly and it means that UDFA will take place during a sane hour tomorrow as opposed to starting late at night tonight when not many people will be around.

Ahhhh yeah!! of course by tomorrow morning I will be sleeping.
P.S. Pineiro stopped a domestic violence assault recently. He'll be great for the community as well.
Dolphins are reportedly interested in Gators kicker Eddy Pinieiro - ( New Window )
I'm done picking. Here are my selections for the Fish for this year:
Round 1 - CB, Denzel Ward, Ohio State *(auto pick)
Round 2 - C, Billy Price, Ohio State
Round 3 - DT, B.J. Hill, North Carolina State
Round 4 - RB, Jaylen Samuels, North Carolina State
Round 4A - S, Terrell Edmunds, Virginia Tech
Round 5 - None
Round 6 - K, Eddy Pineiro, Florida
I'm going back to bed now for an hour before I have to get ready for work. I think this is a pretty god haul for the Fish. Looks like we replaced some parts without reaching (e.g., Mike Pouncey at CEnter and Cody Parker at kicker) and got some value as well (I like Hill and Edmunds a lot in the 3rd and 4th respectively). Samuels is an all-purpose guy who I think will play a long time in the league and fill a lot of roles at RB and STs.
I'll talk more about my picks tomorrow and join the fray for the undrafted free agents tomorrow. Peace and thanks for understanding my situation guys with the 8-hour time difference. I appreciate it :-)
1 - Quenton Nelson, G
2 - Hayden Hurst, TE
3 - Kemoko Turay, Edge
3 - MJ Stewart, CB
4 - DaeSean Hamilton, WR
4 - Joseph Noteboom, OT
5 - Derrick NNadi, DT
5 - Martez Carter, RB
5 - Dane Cruikshank, S
6 - Charvarius Ward, CB
Martez Carter is one of my favorite sleepers in the draft. Glad someone picked him. I would have went in another direction in round 2 but outside of that you did well, good draft jlukes.

No problem. I will do my best to raid your UDFA list while you sleep
For my next pick here is a two player board
OT David Bright from Stanford
CB Andre Chachere from San Jose State
Please wait for my last two picks at 11 am EST
Nice pick. Was seriously considering him as a “UDFA” for the Ravens
Actually, top name on list is Daniel Carlson. Vikings have Kai Forbath, who is a veteran, but he did miss 5 XP last year and 3 in 2016 (albeit in 7 games). FG numbers have been good so not sure why the yips on XP
I was a little reticent to go WR again after just having done so, but after Diggs, Thielen, and the recently acquired Kendall Wright, there is not much at the receiver position for them. I also feel like if I can put a little more weight on Tate, he could be a receiving TE.
Round 1 - Harold Landry/EDGE/Boston College
Round 2 - Anthony Miller/WR/Memphis
Round 3 - Da'shawn Hand/DE/Alabama
Round 4 - Ian Thomas/TE/Indiana
Round 5 - Scott Quessenberry/C/UCLA
Round 6 - Jack Cichy/ILB/Wisconsin
Round 6 - Tracy Walker/S/Louisiana-Lafayette
In the selections thread. You pick 5. It is first come, first served.

where do we put UDFA?

thank you brother!
2nd - DT Maurice Hurst - lightning off the line if not for medicals he is a high first round.
3rd - FS Jessie Bates - Range ball hawk.
4th - OT Chukwuma Okorafor - raw and big with a good upside
6th - P JK Scott - amazing punter second in the draft but in any other draft he would be the best. He is great
6th - RB Ito Smith - balance is amazing and great vision and cutting ability. I am a fan but he is a little smaller. Think he could be a good RB in the league
6th - FS/SS Tre Flowers - ran a 4.45 at 6'3 and over 200 lbs. Played well as a 3 year starter for Oklahoma State
6th - OT David Bright - Ultimate team player. I hate Stanford, but he has been great for them. He plays LT and did well, LG well, RG well... he moved and filled all year and played well. It hurt his draft stock but at worst I think he will be an amazing 6th lineman. At best I put him in a spot and he starts for me. I think he stays in the league for 10 years even as a backup. What more could you ask for in a 6th rounder.
6th - CB Andre Chachere - San Jose State was horrible this year and his play suffered a little. However he was great in 2016 and they avoided him a lot in 2017. I think he is a diamond in the rough or maybe not but I like the value
6th - LB Skai Moore - He is small and undersize but that didn't stop him from being a beast in the SEC. At worst he is a stud ST player and probably a really good nickel backer. Big fan here.
