This should be a long term 2-3 year rebuild, but the Rangers never go that route because god forbid Lil' Jimmy doesn't get his postseason ticket sales.
But agree that NYR has a ton of work to do. Stockpile assets, let the kids play, and make a run at Karlsson next offseason.
Fair, but he did put up top 6 production while with NYR.
Biggest driver of a turnaround is going to be how lucky they get with the lottery. Everything else is sort of secondary.

win in the same year. Ugh...
Please. It’s not the same.
Fo rme, it's worse.
This is worse than 2004 when I lived in Boston.
Congrats to you and Tony, but aside from you two, this is the worst sports moment ever...I probably would have traded my championships to avoid having this day happen.
Makes me wish I never followed sports.
Thank god I moved to NYC when I did.
I think we're hopefully moving in a better direction now.
I goes without saying, but this draft is going to be massively important for the future of this franchise. This offseason in general, really.
I agree - bottom pair guy, ideally, but I think he can and should have a place on next season's team.
It has ruined the NHL for me for a long while.
Fortunately I'm in NYC.
Wow. But expected.
Wow. But expected.
For the Caps?
Yes.
Definitely at least 1 if not more.

That's insane. I would never ever give up any Giants SB wins, period.
