Chubb at #2....maybe Darnold if he’s there but Chubb seems to check a lot of boxes for the Giants defense...they need a strong leader who’s as relentless as he is talented. I’d be fine with the pick.
This is so silly and good for the Giants. Every reporter and mock has the Giants picking someone different.
Chubb doesnt seem to fit the new scheme so I dont think he is the pick. Even if we only play 3/4 part time,he is not a 3/4 DE and doesn't look like a LB.
They could have kept JPP if they were looking for a 4/3 DE. I just dont see the value in him at 2. I think we are going QB 100%.
If they didn't think Chubb would work within Bettcher's plans for the defense, I doubt they'd spend the time having him come in and visit. Wouldn't make much sense. They have to at least be considering him.
Truthfully, I'd prefer a QB or Barkley - but if Chubb is an elite DE, you can't really be too angry. Pass rushers are still at a major premium in this league. If you can get an elite, disruptive edge rusher, it's never a bad pick.
as are the rest of us. If he can take Chandler Jones and make him a 3-4 OLB and have a great year getting after the QB then there is no doubt in my mind that Chubb can be used as a weapon regardless if Vernon is here or not. We need more pass rushers not less. Bettcher already said it will be a 3-4 but more in name than anything else. Did Denver cry when they had Demarcus Ware and Vin Miller on each side attacking the shit out of QBs? Bettcher can make that work. His 3-4 is very similar to a 4-3 anyway. It isn't a traditional two-gapping defense.

Ware had been a 3-4 player before and Von Miller, if I'm not mistaken, was always a 3-4 rush linebacker. Though I agree, It seems like Bettcher's defense is pretty much an unknown.
Chubb and his demeanor, how he introduced himself to everyone, and how he loved football, all I could picture was Strahan. That was Strahan and if he turns out to be that good then it will have been an excellent pick.
him at 5. Even if you ended up with a poor deal with the Broncos on the value charts (for what they are worth) if I'm set on Chubb (and I don't think you should be set on A guy unless you're on the clock) I'd almost certainly get on the phone with Elway, even if it's just a 2nd, a 4th and some late round picks. It just seems if you're not taking a QB this year then the smart move is to go back but stay in the top 6, if it's at all possible.
Given the issue with the Oline and the defensive scheme change (even if it's not a full time 3/4 we're almost certainly going to spend a lot more time in that sort of look) we're going to need players to fill out the roster for that sort of system.

I would bet that DG would justify taking him at 2 by the risk of losing Chubb to the Browns at 4.
Offense has Stunk the last two years we haven’t scored more then 30 points in a game since week 15 of the 2015 season it completely baffles me how people want to pass on Barkley and Nelson and take Chubb, fix this broken offense something the last regime ignored.

That logic is completely wrong imo. It’s not about need - it’s about infusing this roster with young talent regardless of where on the field.
with nowhere near the talent the Giants have offensively, with or without Barkley. that cant be ignored. Would I love Barkley? absolutely. I'd also take chubb.
'They could have kept JPP if they were looking for a 4/3 DE'... Â
:)
Which is probably a smokescreen and it means Rosen is the pick.

I believe that sums it up at this point, yes.
This is Bradley, not Nick.

Maybe we get both cousins.

Probably wouldn't hate that.

Oh Bradley Chubb is not even in my top 20 RBs available. Hahaha my bad
:)
Well we do have a HC who has the Vikings in his background.

So, basically.. we may or may not take anyone @ 2.

LOL, this is good. Well played.

No doubt... Chubb is Cleveland’s boy at 4... Entice them to make a move up...
1 Browns - Josh Allen
2 Browns (Trade) - Bradley Chubb
3 Jets - Sam Darnold
4 Giants - Josh Rosen, along with #33 overall and then some

YES! This would be my plan if I was GM.

That said Chubb as a scheme fit could be less than an ideal partnership if we're all on the right track with where Betch wants to take this defense.

I agree but swap Allen for Darnold with the Browns and the JETS will probably take Rosen.
I think this is gamesmanship between DG and Dorsey. Something tells me the Giants like Allen and the Browns want Chubb.
I realize you're all impatient and frustrated, but FFS see the forest for the trees.
