You draft guys that force touchdowns or prevent them

Strike out Nelson at #2 unless there’s a trade down imo

The qbs, or Chubb / Barkley

I'd take Chubb

in a trade down if no QBs make the grade.
We need more size & talent

on both lines ....

Interior guys
That's one philosophy

Or - 'big guys give you a chance to compete' is another would bring interior OL and DL back into play
goal line offense

the last few seasons has been horrendous, the giants haven't been able to force touchdowns because the line can't move anyone backwards. I'm not suggesting Nelson should be the pick at 2, but literally the offensive lines job is to create space and force touchdowns.
I do think Nelson is out of the picture at 2

It’s between a qb, Barkley or Chubb
WTF??

So if you only draft guys that force TD's or prevent them, would all linemen be UDFA?

The draft really can't get here fast enough - now we are talking in absolutes on who needs to be drafted.
Every single position on the team

is tasked with scoring touchdowns, or preventing them. The sole exception is the kicker who is there generally to score field goals instead of touchdowns.

So does this insight lead you to believe the Giants likely don't go kicker at #2?

Interesting...
The question is,

do those in charge think, we are "only a few players away" or is it finally time to build for the future?

We have been trying to do both for the last 6 years, and look at the state we are in....

As far as the draft goes, I have to laugh when I hear guys complaining, oh we only have 5 picks this year....we have lost our 6th and 7th round picks.....OMG! How many 6th and 7th round picks have panned out?

And as far as the draft goes, we have been able to get maybe one viable starter from each of these last 7 drafts.....How good will DG be? Two? Maybe three? One?

We have a lot of holes on this team....and no quality depth, or else we wouldn't have holes....

With the right moves DG can make this team competitive this year.....with a "weaker" schedule(sometimes it doesn't turn out that way), we could have a reversal of fortunes like in 2016, but with the same end result.....this team may not go far this year, but I think it will be fun to watch again...

DG and Shurmer have inherited a shit show from Reese.....I have to hope that DG can make all the right moves, and that Shurmer is one of those coaches, that takes advantage of the talent that he has, and doesn't try to stick squares into round holes....
