Both the Giants and Jets are in prime position to choose one of the top quarterbacks in the 2018 NFL Draft, picking No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, but one NFL offensive coordinator believes that there is a clear top prospect between Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, and Baker Mayfield.
"It's Sam Darnold," an NFL offensive coordinator told NJ Advance Media, when asked who he believes is the top quarterback in this year's class. |
There were two traits that set Darnold above the likes of Rosen, Allen, and Mayfield as the premier passer in this class, according to the offensive coordinator.
"It comes down to his ability to extend plays," he said. "And his arm talent." |
I'm not sure what he means by arm talent. I thought Rosen had the arm better arm and Allen the stronger arm.

Darnold's a little more athletic, and throws better on the move, while Rosen is more NFL-ready, and a aperfect target if you are looking for a pure pocket passer. I don't think there is that much daylight between Darnold and Rosen (on the field, not taking injuries into account).
