Giants S Landon Collins’ arm isn’t healing as quickly as docs would hope and might soon undergo surgery to plate the break again, sources say. Timeline for a recovery would be about six to eight weeks to return to full football activity. So he’d miss the spring, be back for camp.

The arm atrophy will bounce back quick once it’s healed from Surgery. It’s not like an ACL or rotstor cuff.

Just wonderful.

Question
Dragon : 4/12/2018 4:11 am : link
Don’t these pro teams do post operations checks or is just leave it to the players if they had an injury which required off season surgery. It seems like every sport now waits until the player shows up to need additional surgery. Most of the time it’s right after the player reports himself to be fully healed is this not something which is happening way to often?

When someone's bone is broken and then fixed with a plate, you have to wait a certain amount of time to see if it heals. My guess is the timing has more to do with that - waiting the appropriate amount of time to see if it healed before conceding that it didn't - than because he just showed up.
What would Ronnie do?

A botched surgery is fixable. Blown-up appendages are not.
It's not maybe anymore

Little bit concerning. No postion requires strong arms like a safety's

It's the only position where you fly around the field using your arms as weapons to stop big men running full speed or lowering their helmet into them..

Yes lineman and LBers need strong healthy arms also but something about being a safety and breaking a arm worries me a lot. Sure it's a minor injury but requires FULL heeling and will never be 100% again not that it should effect him but it could effect his arms durability and ability to break again
