isn't an offensive linemen. There are just going to be too many attractive options available. The only other positions I could see them taking is a CB or ER. At least a few out of Wynn, Hernandez, Price, Daniels, Smith, Miller, Crosby, O'Neill, and Ragnow will be on the board.
I just see Flowers as a sulking, spoiled brat who will never again be a Giant mentally/emotionally, even if he comes back physically. I don't think putting heat on him over a job is going to mean squat. He'll be playing elsewhere this year or not at all, imho

Golden spent '16 and '17 as the tight end coach for Detroit Lions.
Even with all the coaching changes in Detroit, new head coach Matt Patricia decided to retain Al Golden, though he will be the linebacker coach this year.
Not speculating that a trade of Flowers is on the table. Just pointing out an interesting fact regarding Flowers and his former college coach.
He's sorta like Hernandez in that he's an extremely nice kid off the field but once its game time he flips that switch.
A lot of guys I talk to think he's a guard. While that bothers me with most prospects because I think evaluators have become overly skeptical of OTs and are too quick to move them to OG (somebody has to play Tackle lol) I actually might agree here.. but I like the, "prove to me you aren't a tackle first" approach. His technique, hands, and footwork clearly need to improve in pass sets and he struggles with rushers crossing his body. The 17 reps at the combine along with the technique issues raised some questions with me about how hard he'll work.
At RT I think his ceiling is Jermey Parnell.
Just a side note: While watching Crosby, if you get a chance, watch #68 Shane Lemieux the LG. Little reminiscent of David Diehl. He's only a Sophomore.
and think he can start at guard for a couple years before trying him out at tackle. If anything, he should make for a pretty good guard. Maybe he could be a pick at #21 in a trade down with Buffalo. Not sure he lasts until #34.
yesterday you mentioned the top 3 were set or close to it. Who have you heard would be the top 3, and who's trying to move up to 4 and for what?
3 QBs - Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield - as the top 3 picks. The only player who might change that is Chubb @ 2.
The feeling is pick 2 is about as available as Beckham was. So in other words, they'll take calls but will need to be absolutely blown away. I know that isn't saying much but that's really all that's out there about that.
Buffalo and Denver like Rosen but how much are they willing to give up? It will take a lot regardless of how NYG feels about the QBs and again the feeling is neither team is that desperate.
Pick 4 is where it really gets murky. They say the pick is movable but I heard they like Denzel Ward and not to sleep on him at 4.
or look to trade down if he's gone. Suspect the problem might be DG thinking Chubb goes to Browns at 4, leaving him not feeling confident about trading down to 5.
A little less than two weeks to the draft, that's plenty of time for all that to change 10 times lol.. The hardest part is sorting through whats real and whats opinions/speculation to be honest.
If so, would you prefer:
Flowers + RD2 interior OL i.e. Will Hernandez
or
Tyrell Crosby + RD5 interior OL i.e. Tony Adams, who I happen to like

since it doesn't seem he's feeling it yet.

lots of needs here, gotta stick to their board and not reach to fill spots
I agree, 34 is too early especially considering the other talent that will likely be available.

Trying to keep my expectations down and you deliver my personal optimal scenario. Thirteen days until I know whether to thank you.
As for Crosby, NFL.com (Zierlein) designates him as a guard for future purposes. Sy'56's profile acknowledges the possibility.
So there might be room for both Crosby and Flowers on NYG's right side for 2018.
