Wow, was going to start a thread about how we could get a player in the 3rd round but looked at our history. Wow.
Double O
Da'Monster
Hosley
Jernigan
Barden, Beckum
We had better make hay in rounds 1 and 2. Anything after that looks like a sub-50% chance of getting a player. Really hoping Gettleman can change our success rate.

The Giants are no exception. In recent years, they have been something of an exception in the wrong direction. Small sample, so I don't know whether the problem has been systemic or just a run of bad luck. Some of those picks were highly controversial at the time they were made. Others were quite popular.
I don't think anyone was excited by the Beckum pick, I think the universal response was wtf?

Actually a lot were and I believe Phil in LA predicted it.
3rd rounds shouldn't be use for reaching or potential but more guys who are talented and can contribute year 1. While rounds 4-5-6-7 are for the reaching/potential prospects.

About 90% of the BBI mocks had the Giants taking Barden.

Davis Webb reminds me of Joe Montana. They have very similar smiles.
