I remember hearing that the Mets liked Lobaton because they loved how he handled the pitchers and worked with them - am I remembering that right?

Not exactly something to get super excited over, but if he's solid defensively and can be an asset to the pitchers for now, we should be okay.

Would be nice if someone could get back there and throw a fucking runner out.

umpire is behind the plate. Apparently this umpiring crew is not pitcher-friendly. And Matz has already gotten squeezed on the first two batters so I guess that’s true.

Bring on the freaking robots.

He's already hitting 94 mph in early April. He is getting the breaker over. The change looks better. The thing with Matz is he's not as refined as a Thor or deGrom. Sometimes the fastball will be borderline and if he's not getting the calls or getting squeezed he'll get frustrated. From a physical standpoint though, Im impressed.

it's 6-2. Bruce and Fraizer are so much alike. Fucking pros who are just great clubhouse guys and teammates. They are going to lead this team all year.

Decent. Honestly, I dont like his frame work that much yet. Ive been spoiled by TDA, Plawecki, and even Nido the other night. Feel like he could have helped Matz out a few times. Other than that fine though.
