jrapps : 4/14/2018 2:29 pm
Any long time listeners? Art Bell passed away at 72. Checkered past but a long-time voice of the night with a fun unique show.

The paranormal stuff in the nineties was legendary to listen to.
Just not the same with George “ Snorey”

I fondly remember many late night drives in remote areas of Colorado when I lived there in the 90's. Art Bell talking about paranormal stuff and scaring the hell out of me. It certainly kept me awake...

Definitely one of the greatest voices I’ve heard and such a unique show. Many late night drives were shorter bc of him.

How coincidental, I also did most of my Art Bell listening during the nineties in Colorado as I drive late at night.

RIP to a voice familiar and unfamiliar simultaneously.
I still remember the show on

September 10, 2001. I was packing for a flight the next day and the show was about ghosts. The shows subsequent to 9/11 scared the hell out of me with all the "what ifs".
He was one of my favorites

I still listen to some of the old shows from time to time. He was a great personality and perfect for what he did. I doubt there will ever be anyone better for that kind of radio.
Too bad...

Used to love listening to his show. Especially when I was - you know - in an altered state. 72 is too young.
I've been a C2C listener

since the late 90's. The first hour of last nights program was surreal. RIP Art.

Noory would go on about having an announcement to make concerning a huge news story that was making the rounds. However they were holding off, because (the internet being the internet) they didn't want to report anything that wasn't confirmed.

When the news was confirmed, Noory broke down when he announced the death of Art Bell. He had to go off air for a few minutes and the producer had to take over.

They also reported that the local police were being very secretive about the details. Bell suffered from COPD and I guess it's safe to say more than likely he died from natuaral causes.

Whitney Strieber was interviewed later on and he said he talked to Bell a day or two earlier and he sounded in fine health. I also recall a few years ago someone was stalking his compound out there in Nevada and actually taking a shot at his house once or twice.

Hey, it's C2C. Why shouldn't we tighten up the tin foil hats and think conspiracy? It's only fitting.

I immediately thought about those shots that were
