this year than Smith/TT. With Clarkson and Hill making 30 million more to that total... Rose/Crwoder and 50 million to spend is infintely better than those 4 and it aint even close.
pushed his side kick, who was to give him a break on offense, want a trade this offseason. The Cavs roster complexion is because of 1 man alone. I dont feel sorry for when they dont perform cause he is the one who wanted them.

I LOLed when LBJ said "my players" before quickly correcting himself & saying "my teammates".
and using a 5-game sample where he shot 70% from 3 despite a career average of 29.6% from 3 doesn't change that. Even during that streak, his defense was his typical level of atrocious disinterest just as it was with the Knicks.
The Cavs don't have any two-way players. Blame LeBron, blame the front-office, blame whomever, but it doesn't change the reality that they don't have defensive talent. Neither Rose nor Kyrie would have changed that.

Well people complain when Lebron doesnt have this or doesnt have that. He was responsible for the roster construction. You said he has no one else that can create. rose can create. You said he doesnt have enough defensive help. Crowder helped that. You said he doesnt have enough help... Kyrie hels that.
No one is saying that Rose or Crowder are great players - they arent. But he filled his team with the same type of players. There is absolutely zero balance on the team.
Due to ISO world, you find the weakest defender or biggest mismatch and exploit it. Its all about weakside/rebounding.
We have heard how great George Hill is a defender, well guess who gave up the most points on 1 on 1 basis yesterday? George Hill. Why? Durant would screen him to get the switch, and get the mismatch.
If you are looking at individual defensive stats in the world of ISO ball, you are going to be deceived. Curry gives up a shit load of points as well. But guarding Lebron will do that to a player.
They should have done anything possible to move them during the fire sale
Replace JR with a Courtney Lee type
Replace Thompson with a KOQ type and the Cavs would be a better team in the current scenario .
Also Love should have been dealt also.
LeBron can run the whole show if he gets a bunch of Jeff Greens on his team that buy in and play smart ball
Sorry to say this by KOQ sucks donkey ball.
As does Courtney Lee.
Lebron will never get a roster of role players that he wants because if you get a ball dominant player (ala Rose) he loses touches and he rarely takes a back seat.
If you get shooters (ala Lee, Korver, Smith, etc...) you run the risk of them going cold due to the fact they arent really part of the offenses.
If you get rid of Love and plug in KOQs of the world - you give up floor spacing and put more defenders in the lane - which makes Lebrons game less effective.
GS has won not only because they have great players, but their system is the best in the NBA. Boston has a good system as well - just not the scorers to run it.

Very valid points, I do think LeBrons best team would be a bunch of shooters like he had in Miami , along with a reall good 2 way guy like Wade.
Bosh was so much more comfortable in his reduced LeBron Pf role then Love is.
I agree KOQ and Lee both suck though, but they both atleast have some balls and high Energy brains compared to JR amen TT
I think Courtney Lee would play really well with LeBron and really get on LBJs brain waves as an elite brain on the court
I’ve watched this play probably 50 times and I still can’t say with certainty one way or another. To overturn that is absurd.
So can they review a 3point on the line and then also view if there was a foul committed? Replay review has completely gotten out of control.
And for the people calling for Kyle O’Quinn instead of Thompson are way off base. KOQ would be played off the court. The guy hasn’t even been able to start for awful Knicks teams.
this is the NBA's reaction to the block/call and not pissing off the Cavs anymore. Love was a good 8 feet on the court as the incident happened.
So Amare and Ewing - you didnt play with Lebron so the rules only apply to you.
I think its the right call. They have relaxed the rules in recent years. With that said, the Amare/ Diaw suspensions were so absurd. They took 1 step on the court and didn't do anything. This was after their star point guard got completely decked and cheap shotted.
They seem to switch too easily, as if they're quite okay with Curry trying to cover LeBron. Sometimes, when Durant was guarding LeBron, he would block the screener, and simply give up easy angles to the basket. I don't know if this is what Kerr wants them to do, or they're not following his instructions properly.
Thought Cleveland did well for themselves in game 1 Â
Don't think they can hold up though in a 7 game series for the same reason they couldn't hold up in 5 QTR game 1.
Warriors can simply roll out more/better players than the Cavs so over an extended period of time that advantage only grows.
Love watching Lebron play though...he is so damn strong its scary. Really thought Curry did as good a job on defending Lebron than anyone I have seen during these playoffs...and he only got 51pts!
is as fun to watch as when Steph Curry starts cooking with those long-range threes-- particularly when he's shooting off the dribble. I'm glad we still get to see that once in a while. Ever since Durant came aboard, those moments have been less frequent. It's incredible to watch when he's nailing them.
He was still the second best player on the floor. LeBron comtinued to dominate the game, but the Cavs just cannot match the Warriors on balance, let alone when the Warriors have everyone playing well.

LBJ had 29 last night & Cleveland needed him to score like 20 more. He's working with nothing.
He's already passed the last 4, Barry, Erving, Baylor, and West. So....
Wilt
Russell
Jordan
James
Kareem
Magic
Bird
Duncan
Shaq
Kobe
Hakeem
There are always going to be debates, but he is getting close. By the time his careeer has ended he is going to be in rare air. He is sitting at the dinner table at players who changed the game.

It's interesting how the Doctor gets downplayed as time passes. His '83 Sixer team was incredible and breezed through the playoffs with only one loss. And they destroyed the Lakers in the finals with Kareem, Magic, Nixon, Worthy, etc in 4 straight.
Julius was a significantly better two way player than Curry and was the bridge to Bird, Magic and Jordan. He made a league - the ABA - relevant. And he was an artist that made the dunk cool. His impact on the league was profound.
I also think Wade has been a better two way player and was much better in the Finals than Curry has been. He's very underrated, too.
And let me add this - Isiah Thomas was brilliant, every bit the ball handler that Curry is praised for. Tremendously underrated. Major jerk off? Yes. But he played in a big man era during the Camelot period of the NBA. And was THE cog in that Pistons dynasty. And was going to the basket when you had to be fearless to succeed.
will eclipse Wade in terms of rings but I also see it hard for him to surpass Wade.
Just steph and klay were pretty clear first/second round outs before Draymond took off. Remember there were large questions about Stephs ability as a true point and a defender before draymond took on those roles. If not for him I think GS tops out as a slightly better version than the Blazers.

Draymond and the signing of Iguadala. Two guys who are ultimate team guys and not desperate for shot attempts.
Plus, Thompson has morphed into a defensive stalwart. So there you have three guys who transformed the team defensively.

then throw in Shawn Livingston who would be the starting PG on a number of teams. Can't hit a 3 to save his life, but might be the best mid-range shooting PG I've seen. The Warriors team is loaded.
or is it a sweep? I believe this is their best chance. Lebron raises up for 45-12-11. We get the media stigma that he is the greatest ever for winning a game. JR Smith buries 6 threes and becomes in the running for the true MVP of the series haha.
Curry and Klay cant piss in the ocean, but Durant has a pretty big game

Then next you you have those 2 plus Hill/clarkson combining to make 61 million!!!
They were better off Keeping Rose/Crowder not only as a better players standpoint but also financial one as well.

Golden State defense having too many lapses again defensively.
Hanging around....
He got the T after a terrible non-call.

Most complaints to a referee. Holy shit, it’s every play.

Lue got the T.
He’s definitely getting a long leash tonight
At some point... Curry has to be in the conversation of top 10 ever. Anyone who changes the game has to be considered.

Not even sure he's in the top 20 discussion yet. If they rip off 4 or 5 titles, then it's something worth re-visiting.
This is a a very soft era that provides way too much freedom for offensive movement. So I am holding that against him, and many in this era.

2x MVP
3x champ presumably
Good chance being all time 3 point shooter
Its time to start thinking about his place on the list.
It was like the old McDonald's commercial with Jordan and Bird for those who remember...
At some point... Curry has to be in the conversation of top 10 ever. Anyone who changes the game has to be considered.
Both KD and Durant will be top 10 locks when al is said and done IMO.
Durant will be. Curry absolutely not.
Durant will be. Curry absolutely not.
hes gonna have the accolades, rings, and some records to boot.
He has single handily changed the game.
He was still the second best player on the floor. LeBron comtinued to dominate the game, but the Cavs just cannot match the Warriors on balance, let alone when the Warriors have everyone playing well.
