Chad Forbes & #8207; @NFLDraftBites 14m14 minutes ago More Multiple Folks saying #Bills #Giants #Browns working on 3 Team Trade... Browns would slide to 2nd, Bills would land 1st Overall & Giants would slide to 4th or 12th. Heard it from few people.... Browns would be monetizing taking Josh Allen... Remember, it's silly season... |
I assume we get 4 plus the Browns 2 2nds.
Browns get Bills 2 1st plus our 1?
This might work. We then lose out on QB. but we get Chubb or Nelson or Barkley and have 3 at top of 2nd.
Maybe. Not sure that works for the Browns. They give up 1 and 4 for 2 and 12?

I hope it's the Giants moving to #4 and getting the Bills #22 in return.

No I'd hope it would be:
1. CLE
2. BUF
3. NYJ
4. NYG
12. CLE
22. NYG
with CLE getting additional picks from BUF, perhaps next year's 1st.
Giants get 4 and 21
Bills get 1 (Darnold)
Only way it makes sense is if future picks and/or players are thrown to the Browns. Otherwise why would anyone go from 1 and 4 to 2 and 12?

Buffalo would have to throw in next years first.
And Id want one of the Browns 2nds this year.

So this guy's source is his district GM of a large international company who just so happens to slum around as a part-time referee/camp ref? Do district GMs have a lot of free time when they aren't running a large international company? This guy needs to unplug the Xbox and put the controller down.
Gimme a break
The Giants havenr taken the Bills picks for the 2. Now it lands them the 1, Okay?

This is a great point.

There would have to be other assets, but yes, it all seems farfetched.

Could look like this on Draft night..
1. Darnold
2. Allen
3. Mayfield
4. Barkley
I hope we get a 2nd and 3rd this year and their 2019 2nd.
I suspect this will satisfy Cleveland and The Giants.
shitload for Buffalo to give up.

And that could make sense. Everybody knows the Jets will pick a QB, so it doesn't matter whether that's Mayfield or Rosen. The Giants still get their choice of the first non-QB, plus an extra first round pick. If they're not interested in a QB, then they absolutely should do that deal. And since the Jets will likely pick Mayfield, the Giants could still take Rosen at #4.

I don't think that's enough for the Giants to move from #2 to #4. I'd hope DG holds out for an additional #1. Even if it's a 2019 #1.
However, as I said in my initial post it makes zero sense for the browns unless theyre getting future picks and/or players.
so what else does Cleveland get
2 2nds, 2 3rd and 2019 1st.....seems tight
Cleveland goes from 4 to 12 (1800-1200=600 pts owed)
NY goes from 2 to 4 (2600-1800=800pts owed)
So NY goes to 4 and gets 22 (22=780pts pts)
And Cleveland goes to 2 and 12 and gets 53 + 56+ 65 ( 370+ 340+265 pts) and 2019 2nd rd pick
As for why this could work:
Giants dont mind because they werent dead set at QB at the top of the draft and get Barkley at 4 while getting another 1st rounder. Browns agree because Giants tell them they are taking Barkley at #2 anyways if they dont do the deal. Browns get their top QB at 2 in Allen. Giants tell Browns if you take Barkley at #1 we trade pick to team that wants Allen (could very well be Bills).
This has to be it. I can't see Cleveland moving out of the first pick. I can see Cleveland trading down with Buffalo to 12 for next years 1st rounder. Cleveland already has 3 2nd round picks. I still think NYG would need at least an Early 3rd round pick, maybe the one Buffalo got for Tyrod.
So Cleveland would get the 12th pick this year, one of Buffalos 2nd round picks, NYG would drop to pick 4, get pick 22 and 65.
Does this sound about right?

Plus Buffalos 2019 1st rounder
But I'm not buying it at all. I highly doubt this nobody is breaking the story on a massive deal like this.
A slew of trade calls will come in for the 4th and final top QB......we end up swapping with Denver for a couple more picks.....and still get Barkley
Good lord. I think you're wrong but I'm not sure I want to see all this. :-)

Well only if Denver really likes who's left. Sloppy seconds is bad enough but filthy fourths? Not likely but possible.
Barkley then Hernandez. That would be insane. If we can pick up Buffalo's pick at 65 we would have 3 early 3rd rounders. Very nice.

Sy gave Hernandez a pretty low grade. I would think one of the other guards might be around at 22.

Then another Hog Mollie at 34 would make for an amazing 1-2-3 punch to start the draft. Come back later and kill it in Rd 3 and BBI will be going crazy.
MAde a correction to your subject post. -- Take Mayfield.
This is what I think. And Im mentally preparing for Bradley Chubb. If the Browns take Allen or Barkley at 1, I really hope we take Darnold.
They probably don't have enough to get to #2 and #1 is far more highly valued.
9 more days of this shit.

Not saying this is going to happen but I can see some logic behind it as to benefiting all teams involved:
Cleveland goes from 1 to 2 (3000-2600=400 pts owed)
Cleveland goes from 4 to 12 (1800-1200=600 pts owed)
Cleveland total=1000pts owed
NY goes from 2 to 4 (2600-1800=800pts owed)
NY total=800pts owed
So NY goes to 4 and gets 22 (22=780pts pts)
And Cleveland goes to 2 and 12 and gets 53+ 56+ 65 ( 370+ 340+265 pts=975 pts) and 2019 1st rd pick

Giants tell Browns if you take Barkley at #1 we trade pick to team that will take Allen (could very well be Bills).
Browns drop out of blue Chip territory with their second pick from 4 to 12 but get more than the points suggested by the draft value board with a very precious extra first rounder in 2019 that seals the deal.
Bills finally get their top QB (which they have been trying harder for than just about any other team to move up and subsequently are willing to give up the most to do it).

Crazy part is I don't think that would be their path, if they are going to trade down its likely for Barkely.
What may happen though is Elway could come knocking with some more picks to swap the 4 and 5 and we still end up getting Barkley after 2 trade-downs.
Smart;-).
We get stiffed at 12 unless we get a Cleveland and Bills 1st in '19.
