RUMOR: WGR reporting Giants and Bills have agreement in prin

Tony Pauline was on WGR 550 in Buffalo and said an agreement in principle had been reached. I dunno, i'm waiting for audio to be posted.

I guess they Don't like Bark\ey? I Agree that sounds like Darnold or trade down

�i said the belief from many is there's an agreement in principal but i did not say it has anything to do with the Browns pick nor did i say it is guaranteed to happen...that interview was 1PM this afternoon...interview should be around somewhere�

I would completely expect to get a haul of picks and look for DG to deal back up for a blue chipper...

Say it goes
Browns - Darnold
Bills - Allen
Jets - Mayfield
Browns - Chubb

I could see DG calling the Broncos about dealing back up to 5 for Barkley...

You would get the player you would�ve taken at 2, but get whatever picks you didn�t have to give up to get back up to 5...

And maybe Browns take Barkley and you still secure Chubb...

Hopefully the Browns will take Allen first so the Giants stand pat and take Darnold. If they do trade down that far they had better get at least three 1st's out of it plus a 2nd.

He did NOT get blasted. The terms proposed got blasted by many here.

Its gotta be both 1sts, a first next year and number 53 in order to get this done

and if he goes #1 the Giants pull the trigger because no QB is on their radar.

Basically if the Browns don't take the player the Giants want they will stay at #2 - if they do they'll trade back. Not much of a revelation.

1) Maybe it's Barkley or trade? Ever think of that? Maybe they don't love any QB enough?

2) Why are all these scenarios sounding more and more like the movie Draft Day?

We could still want Barkley. There is a chance the browns take Barkley at 1. Could mean we like Rosen, who the Browns could take. We may actually like Allen, and if the browns take him we would trade back. My point is, we like someone but this doesn�t do anything to alleviate any of the questions.

....the new regimes plan is to cast their lot with an old, declining QB with exactly 2 seasons with a playoff win in his entire career....seems highly unlikely to me. I cannot fathom us not coming out of this draft with a QB for the new QB-friendly coach to groom.

drop to 12 and 22, what else do you think will be included in the package? Honestly I will only think about it if we get 12, 22, 53, 56, 65 and a first next year. To me that is the starting point. The Jets traded pick 37, 49 and a 2nd next year to move up only 3 spots and we would be moving down 9 and letting Buffalo jump their division rival.

Who would be our targets at 12 and 22?

the broncos and the dolphins and the bills and the cardinals

back with Buffalo. Giants have a lot of holes to fill.

The Bills know how hard it is to find a QB. I hope our management knows this as well.

If the Giants are set on Barkley, wouldn't be a bad maneuver to potentially make the Jets sweat a bit by floating out the possibility of a bills move up.

They'd be giving up next year's first to guarantee they get the QB they want and the Bills don't jump them and take that guy. It's far from a rediculous trade. Look at what the Bears gave up last year to swap with SF.

The Jets have all those picks to offer. So like I said, make them sweat it out and if they get antsy that's the asking price and go from there.
