No inside info here, just asking what if.
Earlier in the week, there were wild rumors of a 3-way deal involving the Browns, Bills and Giants. Now, we have other insider rumors indicating that the Browns and Giants have at least talked about moving the #2 pick for the #4 plus other picks.
Suppose the 3-way rumors were not really of a 3-way deal, but a 2-step trade by the Giants. Step one is to deal #2 for #4 and other picks. What is step 2 is to deal the #4 pick to the Bills for #12, #22, and other picks?
What would the reaction be if after all was said and done, the Giants ended up with 2 1st rounders, somewhere between 4-5 second rounders, around 3-4 3rd rounders and other picks?
Again, no insider information- just asking for reaction.
If the giants trade down twice in round one there would be such a ridiculous number of elite picks to build your team with.
I would focus on a two year rebuild and try to conver some of the later picks in return to 1st year picks in next years draft.
I wouldnt write off anything, but wouldnt expect a move until the Giants are on the clock
So if we do end up trading down once, twice, hell three times........a trade back up ( with some of the extra picks) to get a Nelson.....would be general consensus.
I suspect, the QB is must crowd, would want some ammo next year to use for the all elusive future franchise be QB.
Factor in that DG has never traded down in the 1st round, he is not going to do it twice.
