Trade back with the Jets to #3. Give them their QB. Then, trade back with the Browns to #4. Give them Barkley. Then, trade back with Denver to #5. Give them their QB. Then take Chubb or Nelson plus well have a boatload of 2nd and 3rd round picks.
But I dont have the warm and fuzzies over Gettleman running the draft. I think if we pass on a QB today we are going to be in QB hell for a chunk of the next decade.
Darnold
Rosen (that appears 0% likely)
Barkley
Chubb (if they trade down to #4)
I honestly cannot believe Baker Mayfield might be the first pick. That might be the most Clevelandest thing that's ever happened.
I'm still holding out hope for Rosen, even if that appears to be slipping away. There is some level of comfort, though, that this regime is holding information closer to the vest, so the chances of a surprise may be a bit higher.
But I want the best player in the draft - Barkley. My brain says trade down etc etc, but my heart wants the guy that can change direction on a dime and will make the Giants fun to watch again.
Ideally, I would like a few more premium picks..... to try to address all their needs....but also do not want to lose out on the Barkley, Chubb and Nelson.
If they go QB, i will be fine....butnthey will need trade/release Eli sooner then later.....The Webb back up strategy seems to be working....but adding another QB... the dynamic of the team will change dramaticly and not for the good.
Does Anyone Still Believe That The Giants Go QB at 2?
the Browns draft Mayfield, DG will have to decide whether to draft Darnold, Rosen, or trade the pick. This is the most important decision since Accorsi traded for Eli. It defines or destroys careers and legacies.

Agree. If I were Gettleman I'd be approaching this draft like the Giants were an expansion team. I inherited a terrible roster with an awful locker room culture and some bad contracts, and I want to start a new era today. That means doing one of two things:
- Draft the new franchise quarterback
or
- Trade down and use the bounty to restock the team with as many young, cost controlled players not tied to the previous era as possible
What this absolutely should not be about is "get the best player to help Eli". That thinking is the reason that Eli ended up with only a 111-103 career record to this point.
Many of us have been here since "Pete's Corner", this is one of the biggest moments in my time as a Giants fan, hoping we get a great player/person that my kids can root on for the next decade.
The kid is special....if they take him....true Giants will enjoy watching him...trust me....he is fun to watch.
But this team needs more then a great RB.
Trade down....I hope Elway loves Darnold...I was happy to hear the Standford coach feels Darnold is special....if Elway pulls the trade up.....the night will be very good.
RE: RE: My confidence in this franchise is going to be deeply shaken
If after the last five years of chasing one more run, theyre going to try again.
Are you saying that if they draft the best player in the draft in Barkley? That is what will shake you?
Its not at all about Barkley. Its about continuing the same thought process that got them to 3-13 in the first place. Its about continuing to believe that you are x player away from being a contender when youre not. Any move being made to prop up a 37 year old QB on a short term contract is short term thinking, and short term thinking is why this roster is a mess. RB is not the valuable position here.

I was thinking of a way to say this, but Ten Ton said it better than I would have.
More than just the player, this pick is a window into the thought process of the front office.
Sources with the Bills say that Buffalo is looking to trade into the 4-7 range. Likely for Josh Allen or Josh Rosen. The Giants wanted too much for the No.2-overall pick. Buffalo could give up the 12th, 22nd, second-round pick and maybe a third.
says the Giants are unanimous about who to draft at #2. The assumption is that it's Barkley. They also repeated Shurmur's claim that the Giants plan on making the pick.
As I've said, no non QB is worth more than Barkley, Chubb, or Nelson plus picks from a trade down. And if Darnold is on the board, there will certainly be a lot of takers.
Gettlemen might be a little sentimental toward Eli

Sounds like the offers are that great. Bills only want to trade 12, 22, 2nd rounder, and 3rd rounder. That isn't close to enough and I heard they don't want to trade the future. Who else can afford to trade up that far. Giants aren't trading. They are picking and it will be Barkley, Chubb, or a QB

DG never trading down scares me. He is so old school that unless he basically robs you he stays true to his board. He could possibly miss out on great value by trading. Doesn't sound like his MO

Denver might come up from #5 for Darnold, but I agree that's not enough to move from #2 to #12. I don't want to drop that far anyway.
Why does it have to be a win now move? If you believe hes the best player in the draft, you take him. What has gotten this franchise in trouble is overvaluing guys like Flowers, Richburg, and Pugh. Then, you add in the fact that top picks like Phillips, Nicks, and Wilson had their careers shortened by injury. Even a guy like Cruz was thought to be a cornerstone and got hurt. No team can survive losing top guys like that.
You become a winner again by adding top players to your roster. Take the best player on your board.
that this has been the most intriguing draft that I've ever seen. Nobody has any idea what is going to happen. There is still 3-4 guys in play for the top pick, and tons of teams trying to move around. The NFL has hit the nail on the head in terms of making the draft a huge event.
RE: We're going to pass on that trade package to pick a RB?
Trading down to #12 is/should be a "NO GO". Any trade should still result in them being able to land Barkley/Chubb/Rosen/Nelson. Otherwise, we're trading quality for quantity.

I don't understand that line of thinking either. It's not like Barkley is a 24 year old prospect either. He is 21 years old. He won't turn 30 until the off-season leading into his 10th season...
It's better to have the right player for 6-10 years than picking the wrong guy because you think he can be your guy for 15-16 years.

Yep. I hope they take whoever they deem as the best player in this draft. Forget about win now, draft the guy everyone in the front office thinks has that hall of fame potential.

I also have Vea and Smith in same tier as Chubb, Rosen, and Nelson, but the possibility that all are gone by 12 is concerning. Vea, Snacks, Tomlinson would be a hell of a DL, but it is definite step down from #2. Not sure we would be getting a much better player at #22 as #34. The 2019 1st has to be included.

accurate, the Buffalo offer isn't enough, but my point is that if Darnold is still on the board, other teams will want to come up to #2. My concern is that the apparent institutional opposition to trading down causes the Giants to ask for ridiculous amounts in exchange, even if the other team is coming up for a QB.
I'm sorry, but I can't be convinced that Barkley > the players we would get with those picks.
If Barkley is the equivalent of a Elliott whos not an asshole, hes worth a damn lot. If hes that good, it would take 2 or 3 big hits on the other trade down picks.
The Giants should take the player they believe is the best player and the one who will help them the most. Regardless of position.
If they don't take a QB, that doesn't have to mean it's a mindset about trying to win now or that they're completely overshooting on what they think Eli has left or putting too many eggs in Webb's basket when they shouldn't be putting any in it.
It might just mean that they don't view the guys on the board as being worth it.
There are no guarantees. I think it's a really good QB class but maybe the Giants FO doesn't see it the same way. Maybe they think the QB prospects available to them are too flawed or won't pan out.
I'd like to take a QB... but if Gettleman takes Barkley or Chubb, so be it. It means they've identified that guy as the best player and think he will provide the most value to the Giants.
i just cant believe management is dumb enough to take a rb #2 when a quarter of the league is trying to trade up to get an opportunity to take a potential franchise qb

top picks. Of course a RB can be worth the #2 pick.
I can't believe people will be getting that upset, to the point of not trusting the team or being a Giants fan, if the Giants pick the player who is considered by many the elite player in this draft. Its not like we are taking a 3rd round talent with the pick.
Happy draft motherfukers it's been fun debating this with you all even the people I've disagreed with. I get a lot of enjoyment out of BBI. Anyway this is me wishing all of you a really good time. Peace

he #Giants have been set on making the pick at No. 2. Could they rethink it? Im told the #Broncos are expected to explore trading up from No. 5 to No. 2. Possible early fireworks. QB would be the target.

Again other teams want these QBs. I dont get why Gettleman doesnt, per most of what weve seen.
I don't know. I can make an argument for and against each of the top 4 QB's. But if you're not taking one then moving to 5 is a no brainer. It just is. You might lose out on Barkley but you get Chubb or Nelson.

The line will be a lot better with a vet like Solder. Omameh is young and at least serviceable. Jones is okay and should be ascending. Wheeler should be better in his second year. Still need reinforcements in rd 2 or 3.
Like most at this point, I am guessing Barkley at 2, but a small part of me wonders whether we see a double dip down the draft board: Move down from 2 to 5 with Denver (and they pick Darnold), move down from 5 to 12 with Buffalo (and they pick Allen). Pick up a haul, restock the depth chart.
In that scenario, your first five are Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen, Barkley, Allen.
Again, thinking Barkley is the pick here (and I wouldn't be in favor of a double trade down unless the Giants get a TON back), but something that just crossed my mind.
If the #Broncos do make a big move up from No. 5 to No. 2, the target would be a QB. Could be Sam Darnold if hes there. But GM John Elway has spent more time with Josh Allen than any QB in this draft.
seriously? He pushed for a Zeke Elliott 6 game suspension, and they're in Dallas. He's pretty universally hated, but in Dallas and New England, a little bit more.
you take it. You don't need the house. You need good value. It's a no brainer.
If you're not taking a QB it's a 3 player 1st round for us. Each is a position of need. If you can get any capital for making that move and you end up guaranteed with one of them you go for it.

A lot of people on here want to say they would only be happy if we do this or that, Ill tell you what I have no idea how this is going to play out and I have no idea what I would do if I were Gettleman & co.
Can't go wrong here. Either a team will give up a ton for Darnold or the Giants can have him if they love him. Or if they adore Barkley like Sy does, maybe he's the guy if the trade offers aren't good enough. This is perfect.
I valued Barkley just behind Darnold. What this tells me is that the FO is putting all their eggs in one basket with Eli/Webb, because there will be no opportunities to fill a franchise QB role in the next couple-three years.
A quarterback crowd I'm one of you I wanted to QB I loved both Rosen and Mayfield. And I understand why a lot of you loved Darnold too. But don't be too sad this kid's going to be fucking fun to watch play. He was the very best player in the draft.
Phil Simms: Would keep Giants stuck in dysfunction
You draft the best player available how many times does this get said every single year and yet you still can't absorb it? None of the quarterbacks were close to being the prospect that this kid is. You got an injury-prone head case a turnover machine and inaccurate Bumpkin and you guys can't get over yourselves ridiculous. get over it or go root for the Jets.

We could have traded with Denver and gotten Barkley. Idiots. And even if we didn't so what? Chubb or Nelson plus picks would have been much better.
Wait wait wait.
Are you saying that because the Browns didn't draft Barkley after he was off the board, that means they wouldn't have taken him at 4 if he was still on the board?

Barkley is going to make this offense better......Id just like to see us run the ball down the other NFC East teams throats. We havent had a decent running game in a number of years. I cant see how people could be disappointed with this pick!
That was definitely a reach for Ward. And Baker is a boom or bust. If hes a bust then this was the biggest waste of the rare opportunity of having 2 of the top 4 picks. They should have gone Darnold-Chubb, would have been much much safer
A kid smokes weed and drops to late 1st and out of the 1st round all together. Kid says the N word and makes horrible racial comments and goes #7. Some things are tolerated depending on the person I guess. Miss me with all that. Send his ass home

First draft ever we see 4 QBs in the top 10, and the Giants passed on taking one. Amazing that they couldnt fall in love with one of them. I think that also speaks to how much they valued Saquon. I mean hell hes the best RB prospect in 10 years and best prospect according to SY in 5 years, how could you not like him?
I liked the commercial (on FOX assuming different channels have different commercials) with the mom telling her son to go long and throwing a football to him. My 8 year old stepson isn't quite into football yet (I am trying to groom him to be a Giants fan but his mother is a Packers fan and he's with her most of the season - ugh! And husband is a Skins fan - yes, I know). I'd definitely love to play football catch with him (though, admittedly, concussion potential does give me some pause).
TH drops 13 slots, for a quite possible #22-28 pick next year.
They must feel they can use their(now) 13 picks this year to get bodiesand/or trade to move in the draft.
But the Pats are landing Lamar Jackson here right? It's destiny. Belichick will unleash him in sub packages for 2 years before Brady retires, draft another mobile QB high, then switch over to a college offense 5 years before the rest of the NFL figures it out.

smith wynn n hernandez there....13 picks away. still gonna have a WR or two, prob a RB or two. prob one TE and maybe one QB. still have some solid defenders on board too...
James Daniels, C
Will Hernandez, OG
Connor Williams, OG/OT
Isaiah Wynn, OG
Austin Corbett, OG
Tyrell Crosby, OT
Braden Smith, OG
I think any one of those guys will be worth the #34 pick and at least one will be there. Would be nice if one of them also falls to our pick in round 3. 2 of these 7 OL + Best Defender available at our other 3rd round pick would make for a SOLID first two days!
Only 1 more Center worth a damn worthy to be picked in Round 2 left.
Why? That's like the Jets saying it will be a bitch if Jackson is there for their second pick. One is a far superior prospect to the other.
Either one can get you 1000 yards.
But only one can get 1600+.....and what about the passing game?
1600 yards rushing? That's aggressive. I feel like we've done well with guys who were less than amazing pass catchers at RB. We tried this experiment with Shane Vereen, who might as well be a WR. How often did they throw passes at him for all that money they spent.

no it didn't he also said 600 yds passing. 2200 yds or he's a bust, that's what the man said.
Harold L. is there in the 2nd? I know we need OL but that's value .... that may be hard to pass up ... but we pick the RB ... man that would be a hard choice but a nice position to be in

Value wise its a helluva lot more sense than Barkley.
you clearly have no idea what VALUE means. penny was a consensus third rounder....he got picked 40 picks high...barkley was AT WORST the 7th pick...ya makes sense

Mayock had him at #38 in his top 100, and he's been pretty spot on tonight so far. Only four guys picked who he didn't have going in the 1st Rd.

only 4 picks away and a ton of talent left with all these reaches. Hernandez, Daniels, Guice, Landry, Josh Jackson, Connor Williams, etc... crazy that we will have a chance at some of these.
But I would have no problem trading up a few slots to grab Lamar Jackson. Keep him on a 5th year option and let him sit for 2 years while working him in on gimmicks. You're grabbing the two most explosive playmakers from college football.
I'm not surprised. He was very effective at tackle in college. People make too much of his being 6'3. It's just not that short for a guy who plays the position very well.
Oliver to Browns so we can take Smith(Hernandez,Daniels)?
Can we trade EF to Browns for #34 ?
They did go Mayfield and Ward so anything's possible; they need a Left Tackle.
OL - Williams, Daniels, Hernandez
DL/EDGE - Bryan, Landry
DB - Oliver, Jackson, Hughes
All but Bryan and Hughes still there for tomorrow. Too bad we couldn't parlay our 2 3rds into an added mid 2nd pick. Thanks to a bizarre first round there is a lot of talent that dropped that could help us on OL, and DL.
But this is where DG shines; finding talent in lower rounds. This draft could shape up to give us a starter in rd 2 and 3a.
If you don't want to know, I suggest getting off BBI right before the pick.

a week ago really shocked... today with as much as they have talked about it... not at all.

I think that DG cares more about filling holes and propping up Eli than finding a long-term solution at QB.
Isn't it stupid and garish?
I can't wait for the parrot to start announcing Bucs picks.

I doubt you can get all the news outlets and reporters to agree to this. Easier to just log off Twitter.
Yes but someone BBI will be on twitter and post the pick early

Stop reacting and start building.
But we're witnessing one of the most historical moments in franchise history. This is big.

Oh my gosh calm down! hahaha
This was the worry with staying in-house (and I consider Gettleman an in-house pick).
We'll see what happens. But I like your expansion team analogy.
Are you saying that if they draft the best player in the draft in Barkley? That is what will shake you?

I like Gettleman and he seems extremely competent to me, but that was my concern with hiring him as well.
Plus a fuckin million
yes, tommorrow 6
kind of exciting to not know
But this team needs more then a great RB.
Trade down....I hope Elway loves Darnold...I was happy to hear the Standford coach feels Darnold is special....if Elway pulls the trade up.....the night will be very good.

Gonna stay positive I wouldn't mind a trade down for a boatload of picks though

I was thinking of a way to say this, but Ten Ton said it better than I would have.
More than just the player, this pick is a window into the thought process of the front office.

Sources with the Bills say that Buffalo is looking to trade into the 4-7 range. Likely for Josh Allen or Josh Rosen. The Giants wanted too much for the No.2-overall pick. Buffalo could give up the 12th, 22nd, second-round pick and maybe a third.
As I've said, no non QB is worth more than Barkley, Chubb, or Nelson plus picks from a trade down. And if Darnold is on the board, there will certainly be a lot of takers.
The fact that we are 40 min. From the Giants drafting and not really sure what will happen is a good start
Maybe he should skip that advice lol.

He was on this afternoon. Still nothing.

Completely agree! This draft is going to set the tone for the next 5 years at least

Sorry offers aren't* that great.
Chubb doesn't have elite bend, and seems better suited for a 3-4.
Nelson is a guard, and this draft is loaded with interior linemen.
I don't want to drop to #12, but I hate the fact that the Giants just stubbornly refuse to ever trade down. Reese never did so, and neither has DG.

You become a winner again by adding top players to your roster. Take the best player on your board.
Trading down to #12 is/should be a "NO GO". Any trade should still result in them being able to land Barkley/Chubb/Rosen/Nelson. Otherwise, we're trading quality for quantity.
It has... It is Mayfield.
You become a winner again by adding top players to your roster. Take the best player on your board.
You become a winner again by adding top players to your roster. Take the best player on your board.

Agreed.
Especially if the run on OL starts earlier than expected.
^^^^^^This^^^^^^, I wouldnt turn off the tv early tonight
If Barkley is the equivalent of a Elliott whos not an asshole, hes worth a damn lot. If hes that good, it would take 2 or 3 big hits on the other trade down picks.
This.
Enough of it.
Mine's B'day is 2d Q tax day in June. Sorry to learn of your own variation on this. I join in thanking your wife!
Was just thinking the same thing. Seems like everything pointing to Barkley.
And the entire league knew he was the best RB in the draft. His play surprised no one. [/quote\
And too put Elliot behind a great O line. Speaks volumes
Eric I hope you stocked up on roach and bug bombs because this place will be infested soon enough!
Heres hoping everyone is happy with the pick after years of great play.
I can't believe people will be getting that upset, to the point of not trusting the team or being a Giants fan, if the Giants pick the player who is considered by many the elite player in this draft. Its not like we are taking a 3rd round talent with the pick.
Have fun watching Barkley get five or six negative runs a game with our line and noodle armed old QB.

he #Giants have been set on making the pick at No. 2. Could they rethink it? Im told the #Broncos are expected to explore trading up from No. 5 to No. 2. Possible early fireworks. QB would be the target.
Again other teams want these QBs. I dont get why Gettleman doesnt, per most of what weve seen.
trading to #5 would be great
Browns may trade out to the Bills.
Giving the Giants their choice...
Assuming going non-QB
Rosen is going to be a Jet.

I don't know. I can make an argument for and against each of the top 4 QB's. But if you're not taking one then moving to 5 is a no brainer. It just is. You might lose out on Barkley but you get Chubb or Nelson.
And the entire league knew he was the best RB in the draft. His play surprised no one. [/quote\

The line will be a lot better with a vet like Solder. Omameh is young and at least serviceable. Jones is okay and should be ascending. Wheeler should be better in his second year. Still need reinforcements in rd 2 or 3.
Hes going to bogey the hole...
If they're offering a good haul to move up to 2 we should do that. We will still get a great player @ 5.
Hes fighting throat cancer.
Cancer.
They would be guaranteed a stab at the top 3 prospects in the draft and gotten paid for the privelage.
When Elway is done blowing DG, Mara and Tisch are lined up behind. GTFO.
I guarantee Accorsi is at Jints Central.
I'm ok with that get this O-line Right then go DB Edge
LB .
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
In that scenario, your first five are Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen, Barkley, Allen.
Again, thinking Barkley is the pick here (and I wouldn't be in favor of a double trade down unless the Giants get a TON back), but something that just crossed my mind.
Quote:
to tell Elway to go fuck himself.

Im ded.
If we can trade back and still get one of Barkley, Chubb or Nelson and get another 1st and 3rd that would be amazing.
If I had to guess our pick it will be Barkley if Cleveland takes Darnold. Darnold is Cleveland goes with Mayfield.
Hes going to bogey the hole...
Dude...
If you like Darnold, take him.
If Browns trade 4 to Buffalo all three are there and we get Barkley at 5.
It won't be proven true tonight, but it will be painfully obvious in less than two years.
No way.
2. Rosen
3. Mayfield
4. Chubb
5. Barkley
6. Nelson
7. Allen
If it is?
OR
You know for sure its between those 2?

2. Trade down...
If we want to stick with Eli for 3 years. Lets trade down a little and pick up Nelson and several more players.
Or...go with Rosen, who is ready to play right now, and trade Eli for whatever we can get. No need to sit him. Give Rosen the keys today.

seriously? He pushed for a Zeke Elliott 6 game suspension, and they're in Dallas. He's pretty universally hated, but in Dallas and New England, a little bit more.
If you're not taking a QB it's a 3 player 1st round for us. Each is a position of need. If you can get any capital for making that move and you end up guaranteed with one of them you go for it.
Only a QB should hold you back.

Here's to hoping you're right.
I'd like to see a run on RBs soon to hopefully insure some OL drop a bit.
I still think it will be Crosby, even if Price is available.
A TE that can't block???
I was about to post this.
Loving his gloryhole attention.

I called it for the Packers in the BBI Mock Draft. Jaire Alexander, CB. Thats awesome.

Some picks are more obvious than others, but nailing a middle of the round pick is really hard. Im just thrilled.

Yeah that isn't easy.
That's really impressive. Good job.
They have to. Or else Jerry will open the floor underneath them where theres a shark tank.
Now here comes the run on linemen.
Vacation in Peru...?
Love him, but he won't make it to us
I think we're hitting that range where people think he might be drafted. 20's to early second round.
Could go with the next pick.
...shit!
Keep your fingers crossed that not too many more OL come off the Board before #34.
He's dropping to at least 27 here.
...shit!

Shit... now Price goes off the Board at 21 to Cincy.
DAMN IT!
Ravens trade with Titans.
Why? That's like the Jets saying it will be a bitch if Jackson is there for their second pick. One is a far superior prospect to the other.
1 TE
1 QB
2 RBs
2 WRs
2 CBs
1 DL
1 LB
that gets us one of smith hernandez wynn
Why? That's like the Jets saying it will be a bitch if Jackson is there for their second pick. One is a far superior prospect to the other.
Either one can get you 1000 yards.

But only one can get 1600+.....and what about the passing game?
Corbett and Williams too.

Guice is sitting there at 34.

I dont see Barkley as being far superior to Guice.
2 WRs
2 CBs
2 Edge rushers
2 RBs
1 QB
that gets us to Philly...who will prob take an INT OL. which means all we need is cleveland to hold onto 33 and we will get one of wynn or hernandez
Will Hernandez, OG
Connor Williams, OG/OT
Isaiah Wynn, OG
Austin Corbett, OG
Tyrell Crosby, OT
Braden Smith, OG
I think any one of those guys will be worth the #34 pick and at least one will be there. Would be nice if one of them also falls to our pick in round 3. 2 of these 7 OL + Best Defender available at our other 3rd round pick would make for a SOLID first two days!

The NYG play 9 games vs teams who finished inside the top 15 in rush defense last year. I dont see any way Barkley goes for 1600 yards.
I would do that but we need OL bad

1600 yards rushing? That's aggressive. I feel like we've done well with guys who were less than amazing pass catchers at RB. We tried this experiment with Shane Vereen, who might as well be a WR. How often did they throw passes at him for all that money they spent.

1600+ also includes receiving yards
The OL run continues.
Martinas Rankin
Connor Williams
And the CBs are still there too....both would be great value/need picks
His height keeping him from staying outside hurt him
...not good.
When does the O-line run stop?
Saquon Barkley wants to know.
They could easily go RB or CB or WR
Martinas Rankin
Connor Williams

Also Hernandez and Daniels. Harold Landry struggled this past year, but if he is there at 34 would be tempting
Yeah, BB got himself a real nice player there.
What do you think of Corbett? Seems like a DG Hog Mollie type to me.

He is a year away strength wise.
Part of the reason you take Barkley is because the OL sucks.
...at #34.

Thanks for the reply
You don't like Daniels or Hernandez?
smith and hernandez are pretty good
Yep. Our #2 is gonna have to be his own blocker.
But many teams see him as OG only
We already have Ereck Flowers.
Hopefully without all the baggage.

Gettleman: We all know he can catch the heck out of the rock. He can pick up the blitz. He's powerful, runs through tackles. ... This kid makes our quarterback better, our line better, our receivers better, our defense better. He's going to be great for our culture.
Thank you.

Id take that even if he had the baggage. The Giants need nasty in the worst way along the OL, especially considering who they took at 2.
What about Justin Reid, the FS from Stanford as a dark horse?

That's true unfortunately.
Nice pick... Having issues with Julio Jones also.
They are the one team I worried about here...
Dont laugh. I think he could be a really good RT.
Michel is off some teams boards. Knee
James Daniels
Cortland sutton
Will Hernandez
Wow theres some quality out there!
But when we did that for Eli, Webb, or a potential draft pick we are idiots according to BBI
fingers crossed... My 3rd favorite OL... getting closer!
RB is a de-valued position for most teams. {:-)
They are the one team I worried about here...
Sy, you believe Smith can also play OT correct?
James Daniels
Cortland sutton
Will Hernandez
Wow theres some quality out there!
Josh Jackson and Mike Hughes as well at DB. Connor Williams on OL

take Ridley.

Jones deleted everything he wrote about the Falcons on social media IIRC.
If it gets to 29, and Daniels or Hernandez are still available, they should consider it.
Didn't Sy have a low grade on him. I think Sy rated him around 9th or 10th.

Thought for sure at least Guice would be gone by now, and possibly Michel too.

I'm no expert on him. I just know his name.
WOW
I love Penny though.
Couldn't he have been had after a trade down?
Value wise its a helluva lot more sense than Barkley.
Quote:

Do you think he could be motivated enough to not become a Flowers type OL?
DL/EDGE - Bryan, Landry
DB - Oliver, Jackson, Hughes

you clearly have no idea what VALUE means. penny was a consensus third rounder....he got picked 40 picks high...barkley was AT WORST the 7th pick...ya makes sense

Debatable. Some had him as a third round pick and I dont think anyone had him in round one.
I can see a team trading up into the 1st for him. Getting the 5th year option on a QB is worth any equity given up inn a trade.
I would rather have Josh Jackson

okay? college stats are a small piece, it terms of draft value penny ISNT better than barkjley...penny was drafted 40 picks to high in MANY opinions...
are we gonna harp on barkley for years here or what?
Well I don't know about that. He is a major athlete.

Agreed. Penny was a reach, but this was stunning.
Braden Smith - OG/Auburn
Very inspiring.

Mayock had him at #38 in his top 100, and he's been pretty spot on tonight so far. Only four guys picked who he didn't have going in the 1st Rd.

He has a lot of the same physicals. Slow feet, looked great in college because he's a gigantic human being. Can get washed up by high-level athletes.
Same... I had it Barkley.. Guice.....Chubb.. Penny.. Michel
There will be some great OL talent on the board at #34.

Those weren't college stats. Those were NFL stats.
Wait a minute here... He is a big time Athlete. He blew up the combine at 217 lbs. He also played well. He was a second rounder.

okay so now penny is hunt? again he said good value better than barkjley thats false....barkley went where he should have penny was a reach AT THIS MOMENT.
Agreed. Trade our 5th rounder to move up 3 spots and take Hernandez.
But Hughes is still a very nice player.
LOL he was # 239 on your board!!!
I'm guessing Landry here.
He is a much better LT than OG in college but his height is going to be an issue... Funny that they go from one of the tallest LTs to the shortest.
I'm guessing Landry here.
I am going to guess Hurst
I'm not surprised. He was very effective at tackle in college. People make too much of his being 6'3. It's just not that short for a guy who plays the position very well.
I really want OLine at #34, but Landry is super enticing.
Man if Philly gets Guice I will be pissed

Hahaha Yes I was saying that NE would take Hurst... as in Maurice Hurst not the already taken Hayden. Then someone said has he already been taken.
Or Ravens.
Jackson?
Jackson?
Thats my thought
It wouldn't surprise me if it is.
Oline talent there for tomorrow or maybe Landry.
CB Isaiah Oliver
...tomorrow.
And Harold Landry!!!

What did the Eagles get o move back? I hope it;s not a first round pick next year, lol.

The eagles win every trade lately. of course they're getting a '19 first...
Jackson and Oliver at CB. Daniels and Smith on OL. Landry at DE.
Quote:

Think Cleveland will go OL. But either Daniels or Hernandez will be there, along with Landry.
He'll be a change of pace in Baltimore.
Poor Philly fans waiting for the WORLD CHAMPION call from RG.
CB Isaiah Oliver
Oliver to Browns so we can take Smith(Hernandez,Daniels)?
Can we trade EF to Browns for #34 ?
They did go Mayfield and Ward so anything's possible; they need a Left Tackle.
