don't get the sense he likes New York obviously.
He'd be close to his dad in Florida...and TC knows him well. Could be a good fit for both parties.
The Jags get use a Tackle.....maybe a straight up trade for a player (Jeremy Parnell?) or a 5th round draft pick?

Why do the Jaguars do this? Why do they give us anything for a player who hasn't played well and is 16 games from free agency?

Oh yes, you can tell from the parade of ex-Giants marching down to Jacksonville just how highly regarded our talent acquisition was.
As poor as his trade value is now, he has only played LT in the pros. He can still market himself that way, until training camp. In his mind, he can get a better opportunity (LT somewhere) if his agent can get him moved now. Clearly he doesn't want to be here. Hasn't taken the change in position well at all.
up the option doesn't mean they want to get rid of the guy. The biggest factor in not picking up the fifth year is that he would have to be paid over $12million. Twelve freakin' million bucks! I certainly doubt that he goes from what he is now to a player that is worth 12 mill.
But, it doesn't mean that the Giants will let him go either. They could resign him for what he is making now if he has a decent year. He might actually do well at RT (I'm not holding my breath) and deserve a raise even though he won't be worth 12 mill. You never know.
I know it looks bad now, but Drew might get through to this kid and he goes into camp with a new attitude. Or not. We will see, but don't count him out just yet.

He'd have to start shitting rainbows for the Giants to re-sign him. I suspect the disdain is mutual on both sides.
Maybe a team will take a chance on a top draft pick who didn't pan out if they have a good attitude and keep wanting to work at it. However coupling a seemingly poor attitude with under performance may scare most away. The best thing he could've done was show up and work hard.
Shocked, shocked gif

They don't want our garbage.
It lets Rosenhaus shop him around while kicking his backside to do his best so DR can find him another team.
Hope it works out for everybody.
yes, it has to be announced by Thurs 5/3/18 for 2015 1st round picks
Pathetic to see how regularly we haven't signed our top two draft choices to a second contract. Well done, Jerry!
Or in the WWE
Here are your winnings.
Sure, why not. He’s already got a blown ACL and one year probation for a battery and theft arrest. What could go wrong.

next year - a LT (for the future) and a Center (for upgrade).
