Wants to be excited for this defense and team as a whole. But while I think we have arguably the deepest front seven personnel in about a decade, there are still a lot of questionmarks. Like Moss, who is quite talented, and Okwara switching to OLB.

So, we may see some more TFL but we also may see our run D take a step back. I'm fine with this approach if our offense puts up points and puts the pressure on the opposing offenses to keep up. You can see a lot of game changing plays on D. The flip side is if we are struggling offensively then that could expose some holes in our D.

I would suggest that he’s open to asking guys to be stay at homemade if it’s Dallas who IMO have a very average QB and only Elliot now. But vs more pass oriented teams he will be more aggressive. Remains to be seen but I hope he’s as innovative and flexible as advertised. .
Bettcher was LB coach in Arizona 2013-2014 before being promoted to DC for 2015-2017. Here's Arizona's points against ranking in that time period:

There were lots of things going on with Arizona the last couple years (Carson Palmer hitting the wall, injury to Mathieu, injury to David Johnson), but those rankings don't inspire confidence especially considering their division opponents all endured some significant offensive problems during that time period (which should have been to Arizona's benefit).
The Giants lack a premium pass rusher and Bettcher likes to blitz. To me that's a worrisome combo.
Lots of interesting moving parts. I am most interested to see how the outside LBs shape up...Will be fascinating to see the rotation of guys like Vernon, Okwara, Moss, Martin and Carter.... very different types of players but each could be high impact depending on how they are used.

Stop the fuckers on 1st and 10 from the 20 if you can. Just get sacks, hammer runners, cause fumbles, create turnovers, make em wish they were sitting on the side.
