Gray needs a complete overhaul
Dave in PA : 5/11/2018 8:15 pm : link
Both physically and mentally. Not sure he’s a good fit for the bright lights. You couldn't even contemplate starting him in a playoff game based on his cumulative Yankees performance. It’s a shame too because they really need a legitimate #3 starter
Kendall Fucking Graveman?
Photoguy : 5/11/2018 8:18 pm : link
Seriously?

SERIOUSLY?

i know we took two of 3 but bostons staff is WAY better than ours

sale
price
porcello

those three alone are better than our top 3

You either dont watch much baseball, or you are just a defeatist.

Gray is having a bad outing. Tanaka is better than Price. Price has colossally disappointed in Boston. So the real comp is:

Sale v. Sevvy
Porcello v. Tanaka
Gray v. Price

Stop whining.

nobody is whining...you want to compare gray to price? im taking price...gray blows.

tanaka is good when he is on, but wen he is off he is really bad....he barely gives you 6 anymore. im taking porcello over tanaka price over gray and sure call sevy n sale a wash
Man,
Photoguy : 5/11/2018 8:22 pm : link
this is like nails on a blackboard.

Please get Gray out of the game.

struggling to get runs early...

the yanks have been this way even during their good run, they score late in games, never seem to jump on guys early

I was thinking that too, but then I thought maybe I was wrong.
You’re insane
BigBlueShock : 5/11/2018 8:26 pm : link
And have no idea what you’re talking about. I would take every single pitcher on the Yankees over David Price. He’s dreadful.

You really want a guy that invents injuries in order to avoid pitching against the Yankees? His “mild carpel tunnel” is so severe that he’s perfectly fine to pitch on Sunday now. He’s gutless and completely cooked.

Bats have been asleep for a long while now save for late. Really worrisome.
I'm against total changes
Photoguy : 5/11/2018 8:31 pm : link
in the lineup, but maybe moving Gleyber up, and getting Didi out of the 3 hole for a short while, might shake things up a bit. Andujar could be swapped with Gleyber for a few games. I'm not advocating wholesale change, just a couple of guys.
leave Torres in the bottom third
UConn4523 : 5/11/2018 8:34 pm : link
the bats will come alive, gotta have patience and give them enough leash to sort themselves out. If we were losing these games i'd be more open to a big change but they've earned the right to hack their way out of it, IMO.
bad call
BleedBlue : 5/11/2018 8:34 pm : link
yanks seem to get some bad strike calls against em...to me that was a ball...

we need to get runs early...we are making this guy look like nolan ryan

My suggestion was moving him to 7th and Andujar to 9th. Not a big change.
There we go!

Photoguy : 5/11/2018 8:44 pm : link
on Didi?

Seems he could pick up some cheap hits by going the other way. Hell, he could bunt down the third base line for an easy single.
Gleyber's good at baseball.
bceagle05 : 5/11/2018 8:47 pm : link

Did Gleyber seriously look like Jeter on that play or what?!

11 ground ball outs......

we're beating that sinker into the ground......sheesh.
Not a bad job

by Hale, all things considered.
Bunt?
bceagle05 : 5/11/2018 9:17 pm : link
Ehh...
Bad call there
nyjuggernaut2 : 5/11/2018 9:19 pm : link
Torres has been swinging the bat too well to have him bunt there.
small ball?
RasputinPrime : 5/11/2018 9:19 pm : link
meh.
Not a fan of the bunt there
GruningsOnTheHill : 5/11/2018 9:19 pm : link
but then again, I would have pinch hit Sannie for Romine in the previous at bat.

very weak.

Damn.
To crappy weak
section125 : 5/11/2018 9:33 pm : link
pop ups...

Didi really in a funk. O'Neill last night said he is dropping the bat and looping it under the pitch. All he needed was a medium, fly ball.
Didi is now 0 for his last 28!!
nyjuggernaut2 : 5/11/2018 9:35 pm : link
Yikes.
i'm so glad

why did they stay with a mop-up pitcher this inning?
No Shreve there against Joyce

Shreve pitched the last two nights.
Hicks......
Photoguy : 5/11/2018 9:44 pm : link
.222 his last 7 games.

Aside from Gleyber, Judge, and Stanton, nobody's been hitting with any regularity.
Boone is an idiot.

The late inning rally starter!
I disagree with whoever
chopperhatch : 5/11/2018 9:45 pm : link
Said leave the batting order alone. Didi is really having problems at the plate. Move Hicks up. I also think its about time to jump up Torres. Despite the winning, we have had real problems getting hits. Something has to change. This is infuriating.
