@Patricia_Traina

They've signed G Chris Scott, CB Chris Lewis-Harris (as previously reported), G Malcolm Bunche, WR Alonzo Russell, DT Mike Jones and former Rutgers RB Robert Martin.
Bisnowaty

IIRC he played okay in the games he played in late last season. Not surprised by Bisnowaty at all.
Adam Bisnowaty?

Wow. DG / PS cleaning house. I thought they would at least let him come to camp and compete.

Probably the best he can hope for with the Giants is the practice squad, though he might impress in fall camp and wind up on somebody else's roster. But he certainly has experience running behind overmatched OLs.
A little surprised by Bisnowaty.

I wouldn't rule him out yet. The Giants will likely keep 4 tailbacks and right now Jalen Simmons is 4th on the depth chart. This spot might be addressed by a waiver claim after teams get down to 53 but Martin could earn the spot with a good training camp/preseason.

did Reese suck at drafting offensive lineman. I mean I know Bisno was a 6th round pick, but he couldnt make last years initial roster even though we had crap to choose from and he couldnt beat out a bunch of UDFAs this year. I still cant believe how much cash was laid out by Arizona and SF for Pugh and Richburg. They will regret those contracts soon enough.

Lots of competition at OL, DB, and LB. For anyone who wanted
Ivan15 : 5/14/2018 1:11 pm : link
DG, to blow everything up, he is meeting you halfway at LB and OL. Potentially 5 new OL starters since last years opener, 4 for sure, and it is possible that no lineman who started any game last year will make the roster, although thats pretty unlikely.

Maybe 2 new starting DBs and all new starting LBs.

mildly surprised by Bisnowaty, but not terribly so. As others have said, we kept signing street FAs last year instead of promoting him from the PS. Another failed day three OL. We actually traded up for him, albeit in the sixth round.

I'm more surprised by Dixon. I thought he had enough good moments last year to at least come to camp.

Im still waiting for the real house cleaning when will it come and when will we stop wasting money on contracts for guys who cant even make it thru warm ups to real camps? Every year they do the same thing sign way to many guys who dont even make it thru warm up camp. Are they required to keep a certain number of players or is it the teams option. Why have 90 guys when 20+ of them are easily wasting everyones time including the coaches. Its better to run thirty plays with guys who have a shot to make the team then 60 with mostly guys with no ability.

How would you characterize Reese's drafting considering this fact; In the 9 years between 2004 through 2012, a grand total of 2 premium picks in round 1 through 3 were spent on O-line players (Snee 2004, Beatty in 2011)? That's an 11% investment on the 5 O-line positions.

Maybe Reese didn't put a high value enough on Oline, maybe he and his scouts were just poor at scouting them.

To me, you have to be willing to make a larger investment on OL in the way of premium draft picks (rounds 1, 2, 3), or get unusually lucky via free agency, to build an effective O-line.

Maybe
Dragon : 5/15/2018 5:31 am : link
They also felt those guys many thought were going to be great much like this QB class they just liked other guys more. Well the new management just invested premium dollars UFA and draft pick during its first try at fixing the OL lets see how that works out.
