NFT: Wendy Rhoades the last couple of weeks

Bobby Humphrey's Earpad : 5/15/2018 8:11 am
Hotter than July. Discuss.

Also Clancy Brown and Rob Morrow have become the parts of the show I look most forward to.

I had to Google her too.

I agree with your assessment. It's probably why no one has posted her picture in this thread ;>)
yep, really not worth the effort. She isn't ugly or anything, she is quite attractive, but she isn't a beauty that makes your jaw drop or anything.
It's the character within the show

Wendy is hot. And if you dont think she's jaw-dropping.. fine... have you seen Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti)?

She's completely out of that rat face's league.

Speaking of, his speech/firing of Brian C. right in the middle of the office was intense.

Correct. If you just want to see a pretty face, go on Instagram. Part of what makes Wendy one of the hottest women on TV is the character she plays. She's awesome at it.

Ever watch a hot chick that can't act? It's pretty brutal.

That's why they added the "Baywatch scene" to that Kate Upton movie!

Funny you mention that because she reminds me of her role as Tara, but now more of a focal point. But we shouldn't talk about that, easily the worst ending of a show I have ever seen.

Hard to think of another show that dropped off as much as SoA did in the last couple of seasons.

Question
Jay on the Island : 5/15/2018 2:06 pm : link
Did Wendy intentionally convince Rhoades to remain as the AG just to get revenge on his father for ambushing them?

Not sure yet. 2 episodes to go and it seems like there will be a rift between Axe, failing with a big investment when taking a shortcut with Bill/Spyros and Taylor killing it on her own fund. Can’t tell yet what’s going to happen on Chucks side of things.

I really like the show but I hope season 4 ends it, they can’t keep the rift going for too much longer.

I think it just happened that her interest and what was best for Chuck intersected, which seems to be the theme of the show.

huh? Look, somebody posts a thread about a particular female being hotter than july. Having never heard of this woman before this moment in my life I was curious and google image search the name. Found pictures of someone who is quite attractive but not some much so that it deserves particular attention. Why is voicing my own opinion such an issue for you? I have no way to know how good or bad an actor she is and that is generally not what is referred to when someone mentions a person is hot. I didn't come here looking for porn and have no clue what is on instantgram. Your comment assumes that all share your same knowledge of this fake person this actress portrays, I was just pointing out that some people have no way of knowing this information. Your comment is uncalled for and I suggest you re-evaluate your method of response when you have a difference of opinion.
the OP certainly made no mention
Hades07 : 5/15/2018 2:51 pm : link
that he was referring to a particular character in a television program.
it isn't an issue at all
UConn4523 : 5/15/2018 2:56 pm : link
just clarifying what we are talking about. Wendy Rhoades is a character, not a real person. Maggie Siff is the actress. Siff is an attractive women but they character she portrays on the show is incredibly how, a lot of which has to do with her power and how she uses it.

The thread is about the character, not the actress. The inverse to this would be making a thread about Charlize Theron but using her role in Monster to portray it.

She has played three very compelling charaters that I liked
pjcas18 : 5/15/2018 4:38 pm : link
Wendy Rhoades (Billions)
Rachel Menken (Mad Men)
Tara Knowles (SOA)

I liked all three, and she's not a super model going to be in SI swimsuit issues, but she plays a great character.

and I wasn't even a Mad Men fan, but I liked he role and story line.

Rachel was the first and best of all of Don's mistresses. Which is saying a lot. Glad to see this actress has had such success since Mad Men, first with Sons of Anarchy and now this show though Mad Men is the only one I've seen.

It is. We are guessing that he guns for his job now since 1. He doesn’t like him and 2. Thats the next rung of the ladder for Chuck now that Governor is out.
Chuck as AG
pjcas18 : 5/16/2018 10:06 am : link
would take the show out of NY though, wouldn't it?

I mean the AG while he interacts with NY and Chuck presumably spends most of his time on things not NY.

I guess Chuck could make a play for AG, but I doubt he gets it, I think he sticks as DA until him and Axe get some resolution or he in some unique plot twist actually does become governor.

The show seems to be coming to a crossroads, this is now season 3 and the axe/chuck feud probably can't go on forever.

Can it?

into the show now than in seasons 1-2.

Wags has morphed into a complete caricature... and Spiros role has changed dramatically (into a clown show) too.

The Taylor - Axe feud is doing nothing for me, and i'm not buying how bad Axe's marriage got so suddenly. I mean she leaves him because he brings back Wendy? Bizarre.

I was wondering if/when this would happen at some point. With Rhoades' decision to embarrass him in front of his piers that may push Connerty to the other side as he comes to terms with the fact that Kate was right. I still see Connerty taking down everyone at some point in the future. It will be interesting to see where he ends up next.

I think Rhoades will begin to look for dirt on Waylon Jeffcoat
Jay on the Island : 5/16/2018 12:49 pm : link

I agree on Wags and I never cared for the Taylor character to begin with, so this feud is not so compelling for me.

Re: Wags - Did we ever find out how he got hooked up with Axe? Because I wonder what exactly his qualifications are to do his job. He doesn't seem the brightest, nor necessarily adept at the financial markets, trading, etc.

Wags did tell a backstory I believe this season. I think Wags was at Lehman Bros. when it collapsed and almost lost all the equity he earned over his career there. However, he had met Axelrod a few weeks/months prior at a golf outing, where Axelrod predicted Lehman's fall. Somehow Wags managed to not be completely bereft and then pledged loyalty to Axe at Axe Capital.

That's pretty general, so if someone can find the video, prob be helpful.

Yeah that’s how I see it - they’re setting up new bad guys, so Chuck and Axe will have to be allies IMO. Chuck will need Axe to help him get over against the AG, and Axe will probably need Chucks legal help against Teddy KGB

Koppelman produced Rounders, so it literally is Teddy KGB as a different character. Clancy Brown is reprising the prison guard from Shawshank.
Didn’t know that but it makes even more sense
