I dont know what doncic is trying to pull
nygiants16 : 5/17/2018 12:17 pm : link
But he is telling people he is not sure if he is going to come out...

Interestingly enough kp is working out with real madrid...

Highly doubtful Knicks could get that high unless they have up multiple first round picks
Well I would agree Knox is NOT

Going top 10. He could be there.

But it's certainly plausible he withdraws from this year's draft.
Maybe

Trae Young measured a quarter-inch under 62, 177.8 lbs. Roughly Chris Paul size, wingspan about 1.25 inches shorter at 6-3.

Mine to, I like mikal but I feel miles has superstar potential...

I wanted him last year before he pulled out..
Fine with either Bridges
giantsfan44ab : 5/17/2018 1:06 pm : link
I dont see superstar with Miles, he is a pretty basic ball handler. I see an athletic 3 and D with him.
The Knicks seem to be on solid ground
arniefez : 5/17/2018 1:33 pm : link
to move up in next years lottery. I kind of like this new Knicks NBA. You know before the season starts they have no chance, no hope and will be in the lottery mix. With the new rules next year they only need to be one of the 3 worst teams to have an equal chance to win the Lottery trophy. Is next year over yet?

How much is he making from Real Madrid? Id much rather be living in Madrid than Sacramento. What are the rules if hes drafted but refuses to play? Can he wait it out to become a UFA in a few years?

Trae Young has bust written all over to me. Ill be furious if the Knicks draft him.

.. he likely said good looking prospects and we will explore everyone in this class

Then he and other nyg scouts SCOUTED those players, titans / bears moved up and BBI got the vapors.

Not buying it - when you get jumped TWICE like they did - it's because you were talking too much, which Reese was. You do know even making a comment like "good looking prospects" is pure speculation, but the getting jumped twice is fact.

Dude, teams are jumping ahead because they aren't stupid. They don't know anything for a fact just like any of the so called insiders don't know anything for a fact. Teams aren't dense, they see the players that are rated where they are and they see the teams in need for that player and they pounce. Even if the Titans HEARD from a reliable source (horse shit) that the Giants DIDN'T like that player, they would be nuts not to move up.

Whatever gets you through the night. Just remember the best trade in NYG history was made on the basis that EVERYONE knew Ernie loved Eli. How'd that work out?

Doesn't matter. I don't care about this loose lips crap. I think that along with the not tanking horse crap are not what is wrong with this franchise.

Philly needed 6 fucking years to hit on two picks. If you're bad, fine, be bad...but to sit here and blast a team because the 7 players that played actually played hard and well? That's shit.

djm : 5/17/2018 1:54 pm : link
you're set in your ways. The Knicks have no shot. Every move the make is laughable and why bother. We get it.

17 or 10 years ago means nothing to me. You should try that out.
Kings
TyreeHelmet : 5/17/2018 1:56 pm : link
Anyone else see the video of the Kings front office going nuts with the lottery results? I get it that they jumped up 5 spots but they were acting like they won the championship. This is a team that has picked in the top 10 for the last 10 years and dont even own their pick next year.

Superstar is to strong...

I see Draymond type with a little less defense and a little more offense, that versatile player

Not talking high on the Kings but it's their highest pick in 40 years. They picked 5 or 4 in the past decade (cousins and evans). There's no main piece there and they have a lot of players that can be solid role players/starters, they're just too dumb to package them for a bigger fish.
We need somebody who can create with his own shot, not someone
Jim in Hoboken : 5/17/2018 8:31 pm : link
who can hit open three's or slam home lobs. I don't think the ability to create is something you can develop. It's nice to dream about having a 3-and-D guy who may be able to develop an offensive game, but that rarely happens. And it would be laughable if that's what the Knicks target. It'd be like looking for Ariza before you even have Harden or Paul.

Porter/Sexton/Young, in that order for me.
Porter Jr. seems like it would be a home run swing, which is what we
Anakim : 5/17/2018 8:42 pm : link
need. I mean at 9 you might as well swing for the fences instead of going the safe route like either Bridges.
Watched some more Zhaire Smith
giantsfan44ab : 5/18/2018 9:37 am : link
Kinda reminds me of a guard version of Aaron Gordon at Arizona.
If
Jon in NYC : 5/18/2018 9:38 am : link
Porter is there at 9 you sprint to the podium. Extremely high upside.
Porter falling to the Knicks is exactly what I am hoping for
Heisenberg : 5/18/2018 9:46 am : link
More likely we get a Bridges tho
Porter is a no brainer if available

Can't you say the same thing about Skal a couple of years ago? Or like Cliff Alexander? Or even Jahlil Okafor. Okafor was considered a better prospect going into HS than KAT was.

Was health the ONLY reason MPJ struggled?

2.5, and he came off the bench as a precaution, I'm guessing

None of those guys had health issues. And none of those guys could shoot 3s, are all were centers that can't defend the rim.
I think Chicago

Fair. Interestingly enough, I think I've seen some comparisons to Gallinari with Porter Jr.

I think the Knicks will end up with Mikal Bridges when all is said and done.
Very very early
nygiants16 : 5/18/2018 12:21 pm : link
But some reports are saying Memphis is willing to trade down...

They are right in the middle of where all the centers should go and we already know all of their decisions are made based on gasol..
Knicks fans love to shit on Gallo
giantsfan44ab : 5/18/2018 12:21 pm : link
but getting someone who'll average ~20 PPG at #9 is a less than likely outcome. But I dont think Gallo is comparable to Porter athletically.
ANd HS rankings are
giantsfan44ab : 5/18/2018 12:23 pm : link
intended as a projection for college, not NBA. Okafor had a better college season than KAT.
The reason porter would slide
nygiants16 : 5/18/2018 12:23 pm : link
Is teams would be nervous to take him because they have not seen him play in a while...

He is not going to workout at the combine and my guess he only does individuals...

Teams may side with guys they have seen play recently rather than the guy who they haven't seen..

Knicks get a gallo type at 9 I am good

Do you think Ayton or Doncic can be a KP level talent? Or do you think KP will face injury issues? Personally I keep KP.

Do you offer that for Kawhi if your phoenix? Maybe Josh Jackson too.

With KP coming off an injury and staring down a big contract, I might take just #1 for him....
I'd take a top 5 pick for Porzingis
ghost718 : 5/18/2018 7:58 pm : link
Maybe less

But if you're the owner of a top 5 selection, you won't know that.
I'd do it. This injury just makes me less confident

in the Knicks ability to keep KP long-term.

KP for basically Ayton, Lonnie Walker, and Jalen Brunson (my picks)? I'd have to pull the trigger.
