pick, contract the team. It's amazing how lucky some teams have been in the lottery. The Spurs have been in the lottery 3 times, and moved up all three times (Robinson, Elliot, Duncan). The Cavs have moved up twice recently..once for Kyrie and once for Wiggins.
The Knicks will definitely be in the top three of teams picking 9th or later. Despite all of the BPA talk, I still think the Knicks go Mikhal Bridges if available, or Bamba/Carter if one of them is. Most likely Bridges. He would be close to BPA at #9, plus the right fit.
in W-L and their resulting position in the lottery proves the faults of the lottery system and actually violate the concept of reverse order drafting.
If you finish low 10 3 straight years but the ball falls to #1 3 straight years you can turn around with a great young team while 3 straight years of the worst record and draw the 9/10 spot 3 straight years you could be in the dumpster another 5 years +.
Knicks havent had any luck in 30 years since the Ewing draft...
Obviously want to be in the top 3 which changes everything, but I would be happy to come away with Mikal Bridges or Sexton. Also really like Knox but very raw.
If Porter somehow drops and his medicals clear, I would be all over him. I could see him being the best player in this draft. A rare talent.
I know its unlikely on both sides, but I would be open to trading the 9th for the Clippers 12th and 13th picks. The Knicks badly need an influx of talent on the roster.

They need star talent, not just more talent. But by the same token, getting 2 picks gives you 2 shots as opposed to 1. Historically I wouldn't imagine the "star" rate of players picked at 9 is significantly higher than at 12, so that's a trade I would certainly do but doubt LAC would do.
Glad theyre changing it but they didnt do nearly enough. Percentages should be based on winning % with some floors on how low you can drop. The fact that the Knicks won 8 more than worst record and had closer odds to nuggets who won 18 more games than them is ridiculous.
That said, they need to tank it up next season if KP is out until January. Just go all in on losing.
Missed the Sacramento spot by 2 games. That hurts- 2nd would have been nice. How about Orlando falling to 6 after blatantly tanking? That franchise is awful.
Im still excited with the players that should be available at 9. At least they didnt move down...
And how about Boston projecting to have 4 1st round picks next year? Man o man do the rich get richer. The sixers also should get a really good player in this draft along with max cap space.

You never have anything nice to say.

Knicks are getting either 1 to 3 or 9 or 10...
No other possibilities
Just earlier today, I called T-Bone a great guy and poster.
But you were probably looking at Jacoby Brissett highlights....
Not a fix when anyone else gets lucky. Just the Knicks.

So 10th...
Would put the bow tie on this troll job
If there's a way to drop, the Knicks will drop.

Lol. Brissett is still my man🤔

What about Knicks history suggests to you they have a shot in hell of picks 1 to 3?
It's far more likely they drop a spot. It's their destiny.

Couldn't they theoretically drop as low as 12 if all three of the teams that land in the top three come from behind them?

2nd-2.0%
3rd- 2.4%
9th-81.3%
10th-12.2%
11th-0.4%
12th- 0.002%
The Knicks are really due for some good luck. If they end up 12th after that season with those odds, just shut it down....

If they end up 12 I dont know what I would do
Ethan Hawke apparently used to get comped tickets from Dolan until he complained about D'Antoni being fired on The Tonight Show.
