No.But they may be better evaluators of talent. I know most of you guys had it in for him from the beginning. Wonder why. The game I saw against the skins he played a lot better then Wheeler, but got no recognition. They were giving Wheeler help but not Adam. The touchdown Darkwa scored was due to Adam blocking the LB. Whatever, it's done now and lets hope Flowers finally gets it.
yet he doesnt get even the pre-season to show the team anything had he been given the chance and not made it fine but i think they gave up on him too quickly

If they knew they likely weren't going to keep him they did him a favor by cutting him early so he could go to a new team and learn their system.

Nobody here "had it in for him from the beginning", that couldn't be further from the truth. It was quite the opposite post draft. It was all about his face mask, his hair, and claims he would unseat Hart at RT. Then the season started, and his play was abysmal.
Odd player to have a soft spot for. You his uncle?
I kept hearing how he was going to be the Tackle of the future, even though he was nearly a UDFA.
People started turning when he got on the field and looked small and not so good.
It's just like Wheeler. some people think he's going to be great because he wasn't a complete mess like Hart, but he has a lot of work needed to be serviceable.

Completely agree about Wheeler. The same things were being said about Hart when he wasn't a complete mess too.

Agree.
Sy'56 documented the kid's regular struggles in training camp, forget about game day. By comparison there aren't enough decimal places to express the value of BBI sentiment.
Love Dave TE and appreciate all his efforts, but he definitely led the BBI lemmings over the cliff on this one. Having the balls to put down in writing what you think about these prospects is admirable, but cases like these really underscore what a crapshoot draft evaluations are.
I hope the kid fulfills the promise that he showed as an underclassman, but he really didn't look like he could get to where he needed to be or whip the guy in front of him if he got there.

Most of us had it out for him in the beginning? Where do you come up with this garbage? The reaction around here was positive after he was selected. Quite a lot of posters had him penciled in as the starting RT going into the season. It was his play during the preseason that turned everyone off. He was getting beaten badly by 2nd and 3rd teamers. He was so bad that when the Giants needed to add OL due to injuries they elected to sign several street free agents, including UDFA Damien Mama, over Bisnowaty. This is especially damning because we know how much leeway Reese gives to his draft choices.
You should rewatch the Skins game because Bisnowaty did NOT play better than Wheeler.
I haven't seen a lot of "Wheeler will be great" posts. Mostly a bunch of folk are hoping he'll contribute because he didn't look awful, and because there was talk when he first got here that he had potential, but needed time in the weight room. the 'great' part is a bit hyperbolic, or at least painting with a broad brush.
from what I've seen so far, most posters think he'll be the starter and they think he'll do just fine in that role. I don't see anyone saying he'll be a weak link.
Frankly, I'd rather have flowers be a starting tackle than Wheeler.

Ideally Flowers will put in the work and play well at RT allowing Wheeler to serve as the swing tackle this season.

I have no problem with that- another year in the weight room for Wheeler could be just what is needed.

I was in his corner and hoping Reese found a gem when they drafted him. I had to be. He was the only Tackle they drafted and the WORLD new we were desperate for linemen. But what pissed me off was you give up a pick (albeit a 7th round pick I believe) to move up in the 6th round to get the player. Then you put him on the practice squad immediately. Now if that isn't an indictment of poor scouting, player development and general front office fuckupery I don't know what is.
He's a member of the tribe, this is a NY team, some people will cheer for him on that fact alone. Call me what you will but it's true and it taints people's views when they have a personal interest in a player succeeding. I know Clint Sintim, I think he's a decent kid (now) and he got roasted from day one and I tried to defend him because he's a family friend. It's the SAME thing.
I don't know if Wheeler will ever be great, but . . . . Â
Are they that desperate?
Lolz

Well the team went 3-13 last year so they were proven right.
