And how are he and Alonso playing together? DH?
Sometimes with Vegas it looks like the pitchers bat.

Smith was for LV, the rest should read AA. I forgot to put the AA... Alonso hasn't been promoted. Typo from me.
Maybe Alonso goes right from Bing to Queens if the need and opportunity arises.

Still like Bautista the most of that group but his stuff has been down recently so red flag. Ryan might have the most upside of the rest of that group (though Hanhold now popping 96 is intriguing. They have 10-12 RP's who may be potential big leaguers, mostly middle innings types however.
Vlad is hitting .405. Alonso's OPS is a few points higher however. I'd trade anyone in the Mets organization for Vlad Jr. He is the next big thing. Unreal talent. So sad we came in distant second for his services.

Vlad JR so far this year. Smith might be the first to get a short callup for a day or two, but I'm starting to believe that Alonso would get the opportunity if Mets wanted move on from aGonz and Bruce wasn't the plan.

I know, he's the best prospect in the league, was just having some fun with Alonso's OPS.

I'm really starting to wonder if Dom Smith is going to be moved this offseason. Mets are not going to want to block a guy like Alonso for long

Bradford has contributed more at the major league level than any of the relievers Sandy acquired: 2.81 ERA and 1.000 WHIP in 16 IP
Bradford is likely nothing more than a solid middle reliever, whereas Bautista and maybe Ryan might be a lot better than that. But just in terms of this season so far: losing Bradford has hurt more than any of the other relievers have helped. The only two to pitch for the Mets--Rhame and Bautista--were flat out awful.
Would love to hear how the team was “too cheap”.
As much as I envy him as a prospect right now. Would you really mortgage three “drafts” to acquire him without hindsight? He was a top prospect, but he was far from can’t miss. Def can’t call them too cheap though lol
