But even after all that DG and Company have accomplished this spring, I was listening to Rothenberg and Canty in the days after the draft and they were talking about Vegas’ over/under for the NYG and how only one team in the NFC was worse than their 6.5 (Tampa).

There you go with your Vegas obsession again. You may want to lay low with that, it hasn’t served you well in the past...

Not in the least. The poster needs to explain what my “Vegas obsession” is and how exactly it hasn’t “served me well in the past”. All I did was mention something I happened to stumble into upon tuning into ESPN radio one day shortly after the draft.
Two years ago when Romo got injured The_Boss was adamant that the Eagles would easily run away with the division. When people dared to disagree he pointed to the latest Vegas odds as his proof that the Eagkes would win the division. There were many back and forths and every week, he would point again at the Vegas odds as clear cut evidence that the Eagles were the best team.
They finished 7-9 and didn’t win the division. So much for Vegas...

So what? 2 years ago is an eternity in the NFL. And, not for nothing but it was Dave Rothenberg who brought up the over/unders on the air. I just posted what he and Canty spoke of. And, despite all the good work DG has done this spring, right now we are still perceived as a bottom feeder in the conference. That’s what happens when you’re coming off 3-13. Your respect level as a team is a zero until proven otherwise.
I was a little buzzed last night also - did not realize I was making an internet "faux pas" (not sure if that is the correct spelling). Better form next time AR. ; )
Besides the headline ... but, still.

Eagles 8 (13)
Rams 5.5 (11)
Raiders 10 (6)
Tampa 8.5 (5)
Jags 6 (10)
Vikes 8.5 (13)
Vegas is good but they are sometimes way off.

It's all completely meaningless aside from gauging popular opinion on which teams will be good.
And popular opinion doesn't mean much.
That is the one I saw first I guess ... sorry.

Thanks JonC - keep forgetting we have a tough crowd here and they are hard to please sometimes. : )
