Yeah, he can take Flowers under his wing.
Doubt
Jon in NYC : 5/21/2018 4:08 pm : link
we can afford him at this point.
He and Jerry can get the band back together
pjcas18 : 5/21/2018 4:10 pm : link
the Giants could use some bullying. Haven't had that since JPP dumped Prince in the icy cold hot tub (oxymoron?).

Precisely, and let us not forget the connection to John Jerry. Vital.
Didn't he threaten to retire...

He retired for like two days. Not sure if he ever confirmed. Sounds like he asked for this release...

“He gets his wish: The #Bills have released G Richie Incognito from the Reserve/Retired list. He’s free.”
I don't want to be
rsmith32 : 5/21/2018 4:22 pm : link
that guy that says outlandish statements on a message board, but I do know that he recently went to a hospital for serious mental health concerns.

I don't know if that has anything to do with him being released, but as far as the Giant possibly picking him up --- I'd say pass.
He retired
Jay on the Island : 5/21/2018 4:23 pm : link
Then when he realized he would have to pay back some money due to a restructure he openly asked the Bills to release him so that he wouldn’t have to pay them back. They refused so he reported and now it appears that he got his wish. It was idiotic of him to agree to the restructuring in the first place.
Times flies. He’s gonna be 35

in less than 2 months
I'd have to believe Richie
BluesCruise : 5/21/2018 4:47 pm : link
had something to do with Shady having such a good year.

Would not hurt to speak to him

To me Flowers is just not mean enough

Richie is mean

Will Hernandez
phil in arizona : 5/21/2018 4:51 pm : link
models his game after RI.
Which is fine
JonC : 5/21/2018 4:53 pm : link
so long as he doesn't model the lack of character and integrity.
I'm guessing
phil in arizona : 5/21/2018 4:55 pm : link
he retires
How much does culture and locker room matter to you
Ten Ton Hammer : 5/21/2018 4:57 pm : link
if you want to poke around this guy, who's been a bad guy his whole career.
I'm going to give
phil in arizona : 5/21/2018 5:18 pm : link
RI some credit for being a model citizen in Buffalo. What would scare me off is his retirement tweet about his liver and kidney's shutting down. You'd have to wonder if he'd sign somewhere for one last paycheck and then find a way onto the IR.

Mike Mayock said that Hernandez reminded him (football wise) of Incognito.

What did he do in Buffalo that equates to being a "bad guy"?

Supposedly the whole retirement deal was done to force Buffalo to release him.
Abuse of power ....

Hopefully this is sarcasm.
Maybe he can
David B. : 5/21/2018 8:18 pm : link
drum John Jerry into retirement.
First class prick - Incognito...
bw in dc : 5/21/2018 8:23 pm : link
One of the bigger jerk offs in the league.

With that said, he's actually worth a look. He can still play G a helluva lot better than Dez can play WR.

But I also agree he could put a grenade into the culture with his act.

Interesting call...
Incognito
WillVAB : 5/21/2018 11:09 pm : link
Was a pro bowler last year. He’s exactly what this line needs. If his health checks out and the money is right it’s a no brainer. Everything else is irrelevant.

He retired a week before he agreed to come back
bradshaw44 : 5/21/2018 11:41 pm : link
To the bills. He said it was because his doctors said it was due to kidney issues and deteriorating health. Maybe the bills see that that’s not too far off base.

But I’ll throw my hat in with others, if he’s healthy, bring him in. Just keep him and jerry away from each other.

He's been widely regarded as one of the dirtiest players in football for most of his career, long before whatever nonsense happened in Miami. He won a player's poll back in 2009 for it and was openly called out for eye gouging, illegal tackles, and throwing punches by Antonio Smith. He's had to be reprimanded in the past for treatment of team employees. He took a baseball bat to his own car in a fit of rage and banged up a Ferrari because he's unhinged. I don't care that he managed to string a couple of seasons together of not being an unstable head case.

Is that Incognito bullying a car? I wonder what the car said to him? Probably the engine back fired and scared him.
.......
CoughlinHandsonHips : 5/22/2018 7:35 am : link
Sure, and attitude likes his would be a perfect fit on a team trying to correct a toxic locker room
DG is way too smart to take on
TMS : 5/26/2018 11:59 am : link
that kind of problem. Bank on that. Expect at least one OL move before the season starts that will be a homer. MO

Its not. TMS is dumber than a flying mallet. Or drunk all the time...which I would be ok with.
Kidneys and liver

I’m pretty sure someone concerned enough about their health to the point they would “retire” would not be out drinking the way he was last week. Just a hunch
