He is applying to get into it. He is a projected round 1 pick next year. Between him and Alexander, there is a strong possibility we could take either since we are thin talent wise at CB.
was adamant we do not have a guaranteed 2nd seed for the supplemental. All 6 win or less teams are in a lottery for the first bucket, then non-playoff, then playoff.

We still have a healthy chance of winning one of them if we are interested.

Which round would you think? Still thinking 4th/5th?
Name some supplemental picks that have returned value equal Â
YAJ who worked it out. Something like the teams with bottom 6 records are grouped and then a lottery ensues. And so on for the other tiers of team records.
We lose whatever round pick we take him in.
Here is a list of some notable supp draft players Â
All these guys come with issues. That’s why they end up there.
No one is saying to give up a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round pick for them. I think anywhere 4 and later would be worth the risk/reward. The NFL is not the boy scouts.

Yep, it was me. They changed the rule because of how the Browns manipulated things to get Bernie Kosar.
if we take CB Sam Beal with the 2nd round pick (however it gets allotted, I'm fine with it...) I'd be happy as heck cause the kid can play & we have CB needs.
I think we lose our #2 pick next year? Is that what happens or ???

I'm not familiar with the player, but an earlier then 4th seems to risky. I agree with you.
Adonis and Beal. While things are looking up for Eli Apple, he's still a question mark after a terrible year on and off the field. And even if Apple does rebound nicely, the depth at CB is pretty thin. We have quantity, but not a lot of quality.
Oh, ok. Thanks

To their draft position. There aren’t many.

If your team plays press and needs a CB, you want Sam Beal.
WMU CB coach Nick Sanchez on Beal:
"He's becoming what the NFL is looking for. A tall guy that can run and can play press coverage. We play press coverage here."
PFF gave Sam Beal (6’1/190) an 86.1 grade last year, identical to that of Colorado's Isaiah Oliver (drafted in Round 2 by the Falcons).
One of his INTS last year was off Sam Darnold. Beal cut his teeth by squaring off against Corey Davis in practice his first 2 years on campus.
Pete Thamel spoke to a scout that agrees with me that Western Michigan CB Sam Beal is a R2 talent.
WMU HC Tim Lester: “He’s a unique combination of big and quick twitch. He has great length and speed, and that’s what everyone looks for.”
Second round may be too rich, but a 3rd rounder?

It appears that Beal's issues are purely academic (not earning enough credits), but I could be wrong
Didn’t have enough credits.
