Yeah, fighting a bunch of times is not why he was drafted. I'm very high on Hernandez, but this isn't particularly significant or indicative of future success at the NFL level.
Of aggression and nastiness. Whether it’s Eli with some hyperbole or not this team needed an overall attitude adjustment. It’s felt too business like for years IMO
Hernandez didnt have a issue playing dirty or getting penalties when he was in college. He just plays through the whistle, and that probably pisses a lot of the vets off during OTAs. I couldn't love this guys attitude more.
a poor man's Richie Incognito in the 2nd round. Way to go, Gettleman.
Whenever I read posts like this from the brain dead it makes me feel much better about the draft. It becomes clearer by the day that the Giants nailed it...

Yeah Petrus was drafted because he won the bench press at the combine, and that was what Reese was really looking for in players.

I dont think it is. I think Eli is exaggerating to be funny. WH, probably is mixing it up with guys, but I doubt he has been in 5 fights.
It s been pointed out that doesn t mean he can play.
But it should also be pointed out, having a nasty streak is a good thing for an offensive line man. So it is significant.
Stop trying to muddle up this thread with logic and proper analysis
Every post in here is certain this is great. Or it's obvious proof he's a bust. And it's a rookie OL at OTAs
I will say I doubt Eli paints it as a positive if it was more detrimental than an OL with fire. Tho again it's clearly way too early to know

nice post..
That block was beyond clean, he hit that dirtback Norman from the side. Cost us a touchdown and the game.
